Are the Final Showdown character guides are still applicable with Revo?

I'm trying to find a new main and I have been looking at the character guides on the wiki. They're for the final showdown version of the game. So can I still learn from these guides for revo?

 

I can't vouch for other characters but as far as Vanessa is concerned:

The two guides written by acebreaker and Kaibutsu are still valid.

The Vanessa Strategy page needs some updating but is mostly still valid. At first glance, the most important update would have to be in the DS side turned section (DS 66K+G now sidecrumples on any side hit - a proprety it didn't use to have before). Other section updates are minor e.g.
* DS nitaku section: 2KP is now semi-circular
* DS crushing rising attacks section: 9K+G is now mid
* OS side turned section: PPPKG and 6PPKG

The Move Analysis page is NOT valid anymore. Vanessa's movelist is twice as long, compared to other characters; which means that a LOT of move/string properties changed between versions. @Myke maybe it should no longer be linked at the top of the wiki page?
