Slo-mo in the middle of rounds? How do we feel about that? I don't think I would like the pace of fights being interrupted.

That being said, the animations look sick. Fluid, less like clockwork; but you know the frame data is still there. The sound effects are good too.

Wow! VF looks almost photorealistic, now! And the animation is out of this world. New VF looks absolutely amazing.

      Some things I noticed:

There is a yellow hit effect for normal hits, a white hit effect for regular block, a blue one for parry-like block, and a red one for guard breaking hits. I guess that blue and red moves is an indication that the new VF will feature super moves bars?

Also, when Stella got hit by Akira's red move, her face and part of the upper body got red scars or something. I'm not sure if this is a hit effect for every fighter or especially for Stella because she is some kind of cyborg...

Anyway, I loved the new camera and the slow-mo effect.

Slow-mo is only at the end of rounds? It looks more like a finishing close up shot when the opponent is defeated. The game looks great btw can't wait for TGS...

      We needed this..

Edit: you must be talking about @32 secs. It seems just like an ordinary guard break

Not at 32. When Akira evades Stella's Sweep, and she evades his palm. Also later when Akira stuns Stella, which looks cool don't get me wrong. It's not that big of a deal, especially with so little context.

After watching the footage back a couple times, I think the slow-mo after that evade might be a little bit like a perfect parry in street fighter 6. A successful PP in that game pauses the action for a split second and gives you a chance to get your big move ready for a counter.

I loved everything about this trailer EXCEPT for the announcer who should be a lot more excited than that, c'mon man it's vf6! "Rrrrrreaddyyyyyy.... GO!!!!!!!"

What about how Stella evades the palm? It's not a side evasion or a back dash. She just moves her head back. At first I was thinking a new evasive mechanic. Now I'm wondering if it's actually just a guard. A guard you would see if the player input it just in time, too late for whatever guard animation would play if the player were already holding guard down. I've been wondering how they would solve that problem. They might be geniuses.

Stella is looking super fine, lol. That throw she did was cool af.

This looked incredible. I'm looking forward tosee the other fighting styles/characters for this new VF.

I'm curious as to how combos are going to work. I don't want to speak too much on it, but. It looks like it's going to be a more ground based fighter and not super bouncy and floaty with combos. But this was also only a peek, so who knows.

This was awesome, though. No music, no fancy camera switching to any cinematics and voice clips, just the showing the core of the fighting mechanics.

I'm so glad VF didn't die out. And it's obvious now to see how much new life is being breathed into this game by the people who are working on it. I truly feel this is going to take the fighting game community by storm. Obviously people are still going to prefer their 2D fighters but. With all of the stuff they're adding to R.E.V.O. and seeing what people want in the game, so they can take and use those features with the launch of the new VF. Like crossplay, rollback, the replay system, the single player mode, etc.. The game won't be lacking at launch like R.E.V.O. was.

I also wonder what they're going to call this game.

Would be nice if violent scene could be skippable due to a setting in the game options.

I was initially skeptical about the very idea of developing VF6. It was clear the franchise had lost its mass audience over the years, and to win them back, it needed to stand out. You can’t just sell VF number whatever, like Tekken or MK do.

And then I see Sega doing everything just right!
Sega isn’t listening to Harada’s advice, nor borrowing ideas from competitors. Instead, they’re focusing on their strengths:
      clean visuals,
a most realistic system among fighting games,
no any meters or super moves.

      It’s a dream come true!
If this doesn’t turn into a hit, I’ll lose faith in humanity completely — and drown myself in booze.

This looks phenomenal, this is exactly how I always wanted from a Fighting game, pure martial arts with no ultra unnecessary special effects.

Now they just need to nail the characters and their personality and design

I did notice that neither of the two fighters lift their opponent in the air to juggle some combos.

We couldn't ever hope to have this new Virtua Fighter 6, that we all wanted all these years from our dreams.

Did anyone noticed when Akira hit Stella her face began to crack? Like she was a robot or some sort?

When Stella hits Akira it doesn't happen..possibly hinting android?

      VF6 Teaser:
      LIKE:
+ New awesome Face animation (emotions on Stella face when meets Akira)
+ Realistic Visuals (not Anime like VF5Revo)
+ Improved more fluid and realistic Animations (mo-cap)
+ New way of Intros (fighters are coming up to each other)... may be some personal relationships dialogues.
      + Dinamic block
      upload_2025-8-4_16-49-20.jpeg
+ Dinamic Block or New mechanics or Reversal from Stella?
      upload_2025-8-4_16-50-21.jpeg

+ New Defense mechanics with Blue flash from Akira(dont looks like Side turned situation) - may be Just Block mechanics with offense opportunities?

      upload_2025-8-4_16-52-6.jpeg

+ Camera close up and change angle on some moves = more cinemotographic.

      DONT LIKE:
      - Hits sparks INSTEAD OF FLASHES ob body surface
      upload_2025-8-4_16-53-13.jpeg

      - Some animations transitions are not fluid (Ukemi and Wake ups)
      - Finishing blow close camera "Dantist nightmare"scenes = too childish .

Maybe the special blocking (just defend whatever) "heals you" for the red damage that could trigger a guaranted stun ?

So far very impressed by the animations. They show a lot defensives tools that will help to reach a cinematographic level of visual style. Love the designs especially Stella who looks absolutly fantastic.
The training stage with the screen reminds me the intro clip presentation of VF sega tournaments. We have seen some cube frame sections elevated going down to make a flat floor before the start of the fight between Akira and Stella. Does it hints uneven ground like VF 3 (you could tweek the ground level in options)? That's would be so cool !

Stella does a "launcher" at 0:40 but rather than going airborne, Akira goes into a sort of crumple state and gets comboed from there. I think *mechanically* it will be the same as air juggling but the animations are going to be a little more grounded in reality?

I'm really impressed by the folowing non-fight elements while building the tension..
      1. the rhytmic sound of forming steps
      2. the fact of climbing the stairs up by Akira (iconic archetyp)
      3. absolutly brilliant mimic/fecial expression of Sarah (i'm not sure what/who it memorizes me, but definitely it dose).. my first guess was the Black Mamba of Kill Bill movie, but i'm not sure..

So again in short, great tension builld at the beginning.. and the fight only takes it over..making it even more intense.

      Great piece of mastery.
