Flow Guard sounds interesting, maybe it's also tied with the sway animations.

The limb health system excites me the most. We never had a fighting game (outside of sport sims) that carry limb health through the whole fight as opposed to resetting it. Maybe attacking damage limbs increases hit stun, causes a stunner, or launches the opponent as if it was a counter.

The Stunner mechanic and reduction of juggles also sounds cool.

Though I guess it sucked they only showed a Jacky look-alike walking through an alleyway. But I'm still hyped Virtua Fighter is innovating with more realism. Just hope they reveal the new fighter or story elements later on.

Uprising, Flow Guard, Break and Rush, and Stunners! At the Tokyo Game Show Special Stage, more details were revealed of the battle system for the New Virtua Fighter Project. In addition, a small teaser for the next character was shown at the end of the presentation.

      Uprising.jpg
Uprising Battle Rules was mentioned at the beginning of the presentation as an alternative mode to the traditional battle rules. Is this possibly the official term for the "situational battle" that New VF Project producer Yamada commented in a Famitsu Interview!?

      Flow Guard.jpg
An advance universal defense system to complement the traditional [G] to block.

      Break and Rush.jpg
Head, Body, and Legs (High, Mid, Low!?) in which "breaking" will allow to deal increased damage to that section of the body.

      Stunner.jpg
Stunners will be the standard combo starter, but floaters will still be present in New VF Project.

Wish the new teaser was a little bit longer.
I feel like that must be redesigned Jacky.

I thought the same at first place, but then i thought he also have a bun, like the boxer/kick-boxer previously showed. So now i'm confused.. confused even more because the whole vide of the latest teaser is very Jakcy-like.

swayback.png This seems to be an aspect of the game that the SEGA staff is still working out the kinks for. Specifically they mentioned in comparison to a real fight, the fighters position themselves at specific optimal ranges...so depending on the distance to your opponent and the attack being used, there might be different animation for defense or different avoidance properties based on range?

I'm not gonna sit here and pretend my disappointment doesn't outweigh my optimism. This all could've been covered last month and that 23 second video could've been something teased after the gameplay.

I hate saying this with all my heart, but I'm starting to see why Tekken acts the way they do with Virtua Fighter when it comes to appeal and presentation. Sega, please, SMARTEN TF UP!!!!!!!
