At the 3rd World Fighting Tournament Taka-Arashi suffered several narrow defeats to strong competitors. Like him, the fighters in attendance were true masters of their martial art but as Taka-Arashi had known nothing but sumō all his life, the styles of the other fighters were completely unfamiliar to him. Being undefeated at sumō since his childhood, losing at the tournament was a bitter humiliation he had never experienced before. Retreating from the world of sumō and returning to the mountain village where he used to train, Taka-Arashi felt he had lost everything. Desperate, he turned to his former stablemaster for help.

The stablemaster, in an effort to have Taka-Arashi return to sumō, and Taka-Arashi himself, eager to put the memory of his bitter defeat behind him, embarked on a gruelling training routine. Then, reigniting his sumō career, Taka-Arashi set an unprecedented record of nine consecutive championship titles and looked sure to continue his incredible winning streak. The public bubbled with excitement, “Who can stop Taka-Arashi?” At that year’s sumō grand tournament, Taka-Arashi was still undefeated by the final day of the grand sumō tournament. As the sole reigning Yokozuna he was scheduled to make his grand entrance at the ring-entering ceremony but was nowhere to be seen. As the spectators in attendance held their breath, an announcement then rang through the venue, “Taka-Arashi has been disqualified!”

Taka-Arashi had disappeared, and his whereabouts were unknown. In his ready-room, a sumō apprentice found an envelope and handed it to the stablemaster. “I found this… in the Yokozuna’s room.” The stablemaster opened the envelope to find an invitation to the 5th World Fighting Tournament. Shaking with excitement and smiling broadly he bellowed, “Go forth Taka, and give them hell!”

Wish this wouldn't be so long, otherwise I could add it to Taka's wiki page as his story since there isn't an official english language summary anywhere as far as I know.
