I've played DOA for years, but didn't understand the depth of fighting games whatsoever. I never heard of framedata, or understood any terminology.
From 2008 to 2012, I was a pro METAL GEAR ONLINE player. An incredibly difficult, skill based 3rd person shooter with inputs that rival fighting games! It was the first time I passionately worked at improving at a video game. Konami shut the servers down, and that competitive fire is still inside me.
Around 2016 I began understanding the complexity and difficulty of fighting games-- which attracted me, so I started playing them almost exclusively.
I'm incredibly untalented when it comes to fighting games.. but VF has clicked with me like no fighting game has in the last few years. It's my hope that I'll work hard enough to attain a mid-tier skill level in a couple of years.Interact
