I don't know why SEGA would over-protect VF in JP. Do they think everyone is so eager to steal their arcades?
I'm thinking maybe SEGA is monitoring their aracdes to get exactly token/coin numbers while people play. And SEGA can get the accurate profit...
VF5 does works without LAN port to service, as far as I know there was one arcade in TW.
