    oumacon Battle Opera returns to Cobo Center for it's 2019 venture. Join the action as YBO offers community selected video game tournaments inside the game room of Michigan's largest anime convention!

    Admittance into Youmacon's game room and access to Youmacon Battle Opera requires a event badge. Information on purchasing an event badge can be found here

    Due to convention wide variance, there will be no Video Gaming Only badge. All purchasing of event badges must be done through the convention's registration, either online or at door.

    Please note: Online Registration ends OCt 20th. On-site registration for tournaments closes an hour before each tournament's listed start time

      No video game only badges?

      So does this mean I can't just register for the VF tournament only?

      Detroit is only about a 3 hour drive for me, and I would definitely want to make this event. Me and SugiPai both.. but I'm not spending $120 to be in the tournament :(

      Okay, here's the situation for me:

      I tried my best to get the entire weekend off, but only can get Sunday. So I won't be able to go to Cobo Center and make it to any festivities on Friday, nor make the Saturday night side VF5FS tournament inside the building.

      I still plan to get the One-Day Badge to Cobo on Sunday if there will be casual VF matches played there on this day. If no VF then I won't bother buying the badge.

      And will there be any casual VF action going on at anyone's hotel room late night after 11pm ET Friday, Saturday or Sunday? Would definitely be interested to get matches in on any small gathering going on.
