Does one need to be an IGN insider to view those movies? I can't seem to get em.

Always returns a not found message and returns me to the index page.

    =(

Dude messed up the links - there are actual links to get to them, but IGN wants you to pay to discover these. Look around, maybe you'll find a friend with an account who'll let you watch.

I agree -- the standard of play is almost unbelievably bad. It's unfortunate because it makes the game look dull and repetitive. People who've written of VF in the past will be tempted to write it off again - "oh that stupid VF with stupid pounces, etc." It's particularly unfortunate since IGN is one of the more mainstream internet media outlets, so lots of eyes will see these movies (probably lots more american eyes than see the movies of good arcade players in Japan/Korea/etc.)

On the plus side I think the PS2 version looks really awesome. I really don't care about graphical trainspotting... it looks like VF4 to me, and by all accounts plays like it too. VF4 at home. Very soon. I can't think of anything to complain about.

Except IGNs totally inept VF players. Man...

Well, when you consider almost all the movies IGN shows are of incredibly BAD play (ever seen some of the footage they take of driving games? oh dear), the negative effect doesn't seem quite so bad...
I must admit when I read their mentally deficient FV2 review and then watched the gameplay movies that came after it, I almost died laughing. How you can review a game you can't even PLAY properly is beyond me. Of course the reviews are rubbish too...

Peh, I shouldn't be wasting time posting, I should go back to homework...

Heheh I hear ya, the first movie I saw was Akira vs. Aoi on Lau's stage, and I nearly fell out of my chair laughing as Akira walks up to Aoi and does DJK.

The IGN movies even make Gamespot's look good by comparsion. Can't wait to read their review. At least with their VF3tb review, they admitted not knowing jack about the game.

Even with the extremely bad play I still got to hear and see the effects. Man the BGM is awesome. I can't wait to get this title at home. The voices and music make me drule. Thanx for the Shortcuts! Thank god I was blessed with DSL that makes it so much easier to see all of them. I'm totally Jacked!!!!

it's funny how they obviously suck at the game, yet still manage to do most of the moves and combos with Lei. I swear, Lei is the Eddie Gordo of VF bleh
