1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

right now, i wont be getting VF5, atleast i have no plans to..~

if i ever get the xbox version, there's no point of even worrying about it at this stage~

casino should have got VF5 coin-op months ago,~ without thorough training mode sessions, i dont see how i'll become a regular player no more.~

You can't get VF5 outside of Japan, you know this already. Hopefully Sega change their minds, but even Namco have gone the console only route too now.

    hmm, ~~

to be honest, i probably wont be the only one to fall back on VF5 unless everybody has more money / desire for ps3 than me ~(which is possible)~

I will be in London tomorrow (Tues 6th) at Earls court. Not sure how far away this is to the final tuned machine but was wondering if anyone wants to meet up for some matches during the daytime. I will be about till about 4.00.

    hey guys

should be getting vf5 on ps3 this week! using a convertor to use my old clssic psone yellow/grey namco stick (best stick in my opinion :D) the new stick is meant to be kinda rubbish. i used to work at sega and some old friends still there who tested vf5 have said that the stick is heavy, buttons to close to the stick and it doesn't have an incline. but whatever floats ur boat.

anyway been a member for a while but i hardly post here. i just thought i would give a shout out to the london vf guys.

    cheers

For me the best stick for VF would be the smoothest most
responsive stick which is a Sanwa. The SC2 and VFevo sticks are the next most responsive of those I've tried. The HRAP sticks are Sanwa. The namco doesn't feel as quick and smooth although it's still a good stick.

I'm with Kane1345 on this one-I love the Namco sticks and I will be getting a convertor to carry on using mine. Also can I bump my previous post-anyone in London tomorrow that wants to meet for some Final Tuned games, please get in touch tonight. Thanks.

But what converter would you use? None of them work apart from the latest Elecom adapter which is hard to find and according to Strider induces lag.

If the only converter that actually works has lag on your inputs it makes it hopeless to use older sticks on the PS3.

Nyko are bringing out a converter which supposedly works but again it would have to be tested for lag.

    oh crap are you serious?

damn i bought one from amazon.co.uk thinking it would be fine cause if it works with ps2 pads fine then I assumed it would work with sticks too. its made by pega. oh well. i will have to see if i can play with it and how much lag it has.

if its bad then it looks like im gonna have to import that official stick and maybe suffer the bane of import tax! anyway i will post when i found out about this pega convertor.

anyone know when that nyko one is out?

Converters that work with pads don't always work with arcade sticks as there's a difference in the signal/output, they must work with digital signals. I have perfect converters for all the current gen consoles so I can use my PS2 stick flawlessly on the Xbox, DC, and GC. I'm hoping to extend that to the next gen consoles when the right adapters come out. Ordering one of those new heavy sticks after postage and customs would cost over £80. The cheaper Hori Fighting Stick 3 if it's anything like it's predecessor wouldn't be worth it.

The adapter you got may work if it hasn't already been tested.

I think the Nyko converter is out in a couple of months.
