[26 Mar 2022] Global Showdown NA Qualifier 1 (Virtua Fighter Discord)

The first North American Qualifier for Global Showdown is coming up, and all NA VF players are eligible to enter! The following information is taken from the overview document which goes over the entire series of events in depth.

The Virtua Fighter Global Showdown Tournament will be a 3-region event that will feature competitors from Japan, North America, and Europe. Each region will have 8 qualified players that attend the event at the end of 2022. Throughout 2022, qualifier tournaments will be held to determine which players will travel to Glasgow, Scotland to represent their region in Global Showdown.

Placing in a qualifier event will provide you with Global Showdown qualifier points. You can only enter the NA qualifier if you are a resident of North America. The top 8 participants at the end of the last qualifier tournament will be decided based on point total. These top 8 players will not only qualify for the Global Showdown tournament, but will receive travel expenses for their flight to Glasgow from the crowdfunding that takes place during the qualifier series.

1st Place: 10 points

2nd Place: 8 points

3rd Place: 6 points

5th Place (tie): 3 points

7th Place (tie): 2 points

The tournament will be managed on the Virtua Fighter Discord, in a channel setup specifically for the event. All participants must join the discord to participate in the tournament. If your discord name is different from your challonge name, please change your discord display name to reflect the handle you signed up for during the tournament.
