From the success of the last fighting tournament at NYCLAN, <u>about 100 players</u> came from all across the region to support the scene. This month, JC is doing it big !!

Format: Double Elim
Entry Fee: $20 (includes venue and tournament)
Spectator Fee: $6

Games / Entry /Payout:

70/20/10 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd




If you place TOP 3 in any tournament that we are running. You will be called a NYCLAN CHAMP. With that, you will be able to come to NYCLAN and play for FREE any time you like.

JC Media would like everyone to come to our first NYCLAN monthly in MANHATTAN , NEW YORK. We are teaming up with NYCLAN to bring gamers an professional tournament experience, with state of the art equipment. The establishment has 17 CRT's and can hold up to 150 people total. JC Media will also be bringing extra equipment (PS3's, VF5's, etc etc) to ensure a smooth tournament. Please feel free to check out their site, and look at the pictures ! www.NYCLAN.net




We will be speaking with players from all across the region to come to the event. We look forward to seeing everyone. These monthlys will lead up to the new gaming league we will be starting this spring called the Underground Gaming Series (UGS) !!! More info on that later !!!

NYCLAN is convieniently located RIGHT NEXT to the 1 Train (Christopher Street)
The 1 Train is a local train. If you are unsure how the metro works, please visit www.mta.info or feel free to email info@jc-media.com for any questions you may have.

Just like AIRPLANE TICKETS, www.GOTOBUS.com shows you many OPERATORS who compete against each other. When purchasing your tickets, ensure the OPERATOR is the same as my suggest oporator in my post.




Boston to NYC

Boston to NYC has many busses each hour. To ensure proper arrival time to the tournament, please take the 7AM bus from Boston to NYC at the latest.

For return back to Boston, their are many busses back, you can take them each hour back up until 10PM at night

Operator - Today's Bus

Philly to NYC also has many busses availble each hour. To ensure a proper arrival time to the tournament, please take the 10AM bus at the latest.

For return back to Philly, the last bus leaves at 10:30PM.

Baltimore to NYC = $35 roundtrip

Operator - Today's bus / DBL Happy

Take the 8AM bus to NYC. If you plan on leaving the same day from NYC, the latest bus you can take back to go to Baltimore is the 7:30PM bus from DBL Happy. If you want to leave later, Today's bus offers service until 1030PM. Notice, these are 2 different operators, and they DO NOT accept tickets from each other.

There is now an ADDED INCENTIVE to entering the NYCLAN tournament.


If you place TOP 3 in any tournament that we are running. You will be called a NYCLAN CHAMP. With that, you will be able to come to NYCLAN and play for FREE any time you like.


Here is the official release from NYCLAN:
Top 3 finishers in each game will be crowned NYCLAN Champs.



All NYCLAN Champs will be posted on our board and on our website and can play for free at NYCLAN whenever they want provided that they do not disturb or interrupt ongoing events. Their Champ status must be renewed at the next Fighting Major by finishing top 3. If they fail to finish top 3 or do not show up, they lose their Champ status. NYCLAN Champs are crowned at every Fighting Major.



This is VERY EXCITING news !!!! I hope this makes even more players want to come out !!!

We have decreased the entry fee into the tournament


It was $25, but now it is reduced to $20. I hope this entices more players to come out !!!

It is extremely unlikely I will make to this, so I must ask about next month's. Mainly, what games?

I'm very pleased with this month's lineup. Only difference I'd personally like is CvS2 instead of 3s.
