Video Grapple is hosting a Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution tournament on the 31th of August (2018) at Sugoi arcade in Helsinki, Finland.

That's right, a tournament for Evolution in 2018! At an arcade!

The venue is packed with Japanese candy cabinets that are all set on freeplay. You can join the tournament just by paying the entrance fee to the arcade. (9 euros on Fridays)

The tournament will be run in a Round Robin format with the two top players facing off in a final.

P.S. Video Grapple has other tournaments for games like Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx, etc coming up during the summer. Check the FB page for more info. A VF3tb tournament is also in the works...

 

I can say for 50% sure there will be a stream or recording. And if all goes well, there will be more. But that depends on how many people show up!

Pro-tip: Evolution is available for the PS3 as a PS2 classic title in Europe for those who want to practise the game and don't have an access to a PS2.
