A question about eh,.. floating thingies...

In some vf matches I have downloaded one of the players has a kinda orb floating obove his head in the match - wtf is that?

(Short and precise question?)

 

In the vf net in Japan there a quests called "event quests" that take place about every two weeks for three days (Fri.-sun) One is called tiger vs. dragon and when you sign up for the quest on the vf net you randomly get assigned to either the tiger or dragon team and your "quest" is to beat x number of opponents from the opposing team. There are three types of those semi-transparent orbs (I think). Two of those orbs represent the tiger team and the dragon team respectively. Those two disappear after the quest is over. Another type of event quest with two versions (can't remember the names king and ???) you have to beat x number of opponents that have an orb floating above their heads. I don’t know the exact requirements to get the orb above your head but it I think it has something to do with winning percentage or winning vs. ranked opponents. But anyway if you gain the floating orb in during those event quests it stays above your character after the quest is over, up until you fall below the requirements needed to gain it in the first place.
Off subject of the question but when you fulfill the requirements of the event quests you get various items or colors for your character.

You're right about the Dragon vs. Tiger. The other one you're thinking of "Omo Orb" (the character reads as "Omo".). Beat XXX number of people w/ the orb to finish the quest.

The third quest, I forget what it's called, gives you a number in an orb above your head. Beat someone (anyone) ranked higher than you, and the number goes up. When it hits 10, you finish the quest. For those studying Japanese and couldn't figure out the 1,2, and 3 - that's b/c they use the old kanji that you'd see on money.
