    Hey guys~!
This is Eddie and I live in Sydney.
    I often use Akira..
Sometimes I saw people’s gestures when I got counter double palm..
I think their gestures mean ‘it is impossible damage~!’ or ‘I can’t believe this damage~!’ or ‘it is bull shit~!’.
Do u think their thinking is correct?
I don’t think so.. when u got double palm from front as a counter, damage is 45. If u get counter after dodge, maybe 50~60(I am not sure /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
    However, Let’s have a look Kage’s [back]throw..
I know one combination damage is 80..and the combination is easy to use..
Do you think which is easy? To get counter double palm after dodge..or just get one throw.. Answer is too easy..
I am wondering..why people not showing such gestures after Kage’s throw?
If I see someone’s gestures after Akira’s palm..
    I will scream after Kage’s throw.. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

    one more thing..
I saw a guy who cheated during the game..
when I got down, I didn't press the any button to avoid counter down attack and he did jump down attack because he saw my hand..or heard that I am not shaking the stick and pressing buttons..
Please concentrate to the screen..not my hand..
It is dirty manner..isn't it? /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Akira's double palm and body check is getting weaker

and weaker as the series go on. If there is someone

who thinks D-Palm is too good in Evo ver B, he better

go play VF4 ver B and get hit by D-Palm or Evade body

check on counter to see the damage difference. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

P.S welcome to the forum, Eddie. I saw your name on

Vfzone.com before. I am also a student from Korea and

currently living in Columbus, OH. Nice to see you. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

yeah, akira's double palm is finally fair... elbow counterable and a max damage of 45 pts instead of 67... or, in really early versions, 70ish.

anyone who complains about double palm should be worried about his yoho... safer, much more damage from the combo... it's just barely fast enough to do dodge --> [3][3][P].

From alot of the Japanese video clips, alot of good Japanese players(Akira) try to do double palm from a particular distance so that when it is blocked, they are out of range to thrown or PPP. Sometimes I see these Akira players following up a block double palm with [3]+[P]+[K].

that's true, and before the double palm was -13..-14... that kept them safe.

I see good pai players get K --> f,f+P,K every time though, and good lau players get b,f+P combos.

Even though you sometimes can't throw akira after it, I still think it's a fair move.

Hey Eddie. It's Blake, the guy you met down in Sydney last friday. Anyway double palm isn't very abusable. I played someone that used it alot from crouching and in general play it isn't too hard to spot and evading it meant a guaranteed attack, so it's not that bad. The thing that I hate getting hit by is the shoulder ram but that's another story. /versus/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

    Hi Eddie!

Nice to see you finally on here /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'd just like to add that Eddie's comments are in the context of Ver.A Arcade.

Let me tell you why we all want to cry when Akira's double palm connects for counter hit. The counter hit damage is more like 70pts, and against a wall you can add more hits for even more damage! Akira's double palm is also the fastest mid attack in the game, only 12 frames. It doesn't have many bad points in ver.A. In ver.B, they made the damage less, and recovery a little longer, so nobody complains about it now like they did before. But anyway, when we all say "owwww" each time the DbPm hits for counter hit, please don't take it the wrong way! /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I don't think you can compare it to kage's [4][P]+[G] because, really, that's the only way he has a chance to do 70+ damage in a combo. And it's a throw, so you can enter throw escape + guard to be safe in throw guaranteed situations. But with Akira, he has more than a few moves (and throws) which do 60~70+ damage.

As for the guy cheating, who did that? /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif I agree, it's not nice to look down at someone's hands to see what he will do.

    See you this Friday!

    Hey~! Myke~!
    Nice to see u here~!
My point was "it is not easy to get counter double palm~!" hehe /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
I'd just compared difficulty between two skills..
yep..Akira has more chance to get high damage combinations..but..where is his circular attack?
    I hope he has one..instead of [3][P]+[K] or [4][3][P]..
If he get one..is he too strong? hehe /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

anyway, I think Akira is a too difficult character to win..
    sometimes I want give up him..hehe..but I won't..

    guys coming this friday?
    see ya there~!
    /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is standing double palm 12 frame?
I read it is 13 frame from vfzone.. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I hope I can see my tattoo girl this friday..
you know, she gives me power.. hehehe..
u like it? Myke? /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif hehe

hahahaha the tatoo girl! I like it a lot!! /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif/versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif You know, she's really good at Tekken Tag, maybe we should ask her to start playing VF!?

Anyway, the double palm ([2_][4][6][P]) is 12 frames to execute. I don't think you should compare which is easier to do because one is a single attack which can do a lot of damage, and the other is just a throw which requires a combo after for the damage. They're two different things. Also, the double palm counter hit doesn't happen a lot, but when it does, the amount of damage it takes off always makes me say "ouch!" /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif No other single attack in the game that is that fast can do damage like that, except for Akira's bodycheck!

As for the circular attack, you're right Akira doesn't have any, but he has great half-circular attacks. Same as Kage.
