After you win a round..........

    After you win a round, what do you usually do when you have the free time to perform any moves you want.

    Of course if you are Shun, you should most likely be drinking, and if you are facing Shun, you should try to sober him up a bit. One match with Minami Akira vs a Shun player, he sober's him like three or four drinks at the end of a round, which is no easy task.

    Gaijin punch said that one player would just spam pounces after a match. I think that sometimes this is ok, if you make a comeback, or if you lose a round badly, but win the next easily.

    Another popular choice for all characters is too just keep making contact, or if the opponent is standing or crouching, throw.

    One of the most interesting ones I saw was of Susukino vs another Wolf player, and the other Wolf player once by a fraction of life, and when he hit Susukino with a high punch, his character performed the standing to crouching crumple, while he was crumpling, the other Wolf player walked around to his side, and used one of his side low throws, it was entertaining to say the least.

    In an effort to make this something that might be useful to players... how about some anti-shun sobering combos after winning a round?
    All assume you kill shun with something like a sidekick to leave him stunned.

    Akira: bf+P --> b,f+P --> df+P+K+G... -5 DP.
    Kage: f+P+K,P+K ... -2 DP, delay between the hits.
    Lau: b.f+P --> d+P --> f+K+G... -4 DP.
    Pai: db+P --> b+K+G ...-4 DP (not sure how reliable this is)
    Jacky: untested- P+K (small delay),P --> f+P+K ... -3 DP.
    Sarah: not sure. If you win in [FL] stance, and if it's legal to do the d+K hit throw against a dead opponent... that's -3 DP. Otherwise, maybe df+P,K --> [FL]df+P will hit? That's -4 DP.
    Wolf: b+P --> d+P --> f+P+K ...-3 DP.
    Jeff: b,f+P --> f+K+G (not sure if this works) ...-4 DP.
    Shun: You should be drinking!
    Lion: b+P+K --> P+K ...-4 DP.
    Aoi: if it works... b,b+P+K --> P+K,P,P. That's -5 DP. Otherwise just the slaps for -3 DP.
    Vanessa: Does f+P+K --> f+P+K work? That's -4 DP.
    Lei Fei: b,f+P+K --> b,f+P ... DP -3.
    Brad: edit: brad f+P+K --> df+P+K,P ...-2 DP
    Goh: b,f+P --> b,f+P ...DP -2.

    With Lion P+K will not work because it slams. I think you are thinking of [4][P]+[K].

    Lion, you've got [P]+[K] for 2DPs only. It will slame. That, or [6][3][2][1][P]+[K] for 1.

    yeah, the slam move is the one I meant - the low kick scrapes shun off the floor, and then the K+G... well in theory it hits, but in practice it prolly whiffs over his head... so no combo for you.

    actually for Akira is [4][6][P],[4][6][P],[3][P][K][G]. Kage's [6][P][K],[P][K] will only take off 1dps.

    danny, kage can take off 2 DPs if he delays the second hit.

    Really??? You know Mike, I have such a hard time trying to reduce Zhifeng's drink points both during end of a round and actual game play. Any tips. Akira i have no problem /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

    heh, I have the same problem against the local Shun player here. Anyway, for Kage (I'm assuming that's who you're asking about) the TFT combo for Shun is Knee ~ [6][P]+[K][P]+[K] ~ DP, and remember to delay the hits for the -2 DP.

    You also have [9][K]+[G] ~ [2][P] ~ [6][P]+[K][P]+[K] combo but I'm not sure if you can delay the second hit.

    Basically, if taking DP off is more important than damage, then use the [6][P]+[K][P]+[K] a lot in the game (it's uncounterable!) and in the above combos. You can also use it in crumble combos too.

    edited the above with the following -

    brad can do f+P+K, df+P+K,P.
    lion can do b+P+K --> P+K
    akira's combo is indeed b,f+P --> b,f+P --> df+P+K+G... thanks danny.
