Akira combo movie from Norway

Hey, I have been playing VF4 for the last 6 months, and I love the game. My main character is Akira.
VF4 is not that popular in Norway yet, but I hope more people will start playing this great game.

Anyway, I made my first combo video with Akira.
Having some fun, while trying to understand this complicated game.
I am trying to do as many flashy comboes as I can , so many of them are probably tech rolleable.

Good video, but kind of surreal - i.e. it's like watching a giant Akira combo video, without all the shrm combos (++). It doesn't float as much as a yoho, but it's way more useful in actual combat.

 

I very much enjoyed this. One of the best produced vids in a while. nicely done.

Good luck to you on founding more competition in Norway. Very nice combo video. Were you using a pad or a stick while performing those combos?

I used a stick while performing these comboes, I really don't know how to play VF with the PS2 pad, it seems way to difficult...hehe

Luckily enough for me I have 3 friends that also play VF, they are all better than me so I am happy with the competition. But I would not mind a extra 20-30 people start playing /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

But u should check out shin's combo vid it's sick
he's one of the top vf4 players
Anyway how did u do a 148 point combo wiv akira u never showed it on the video same like shin's 1 aswell.
I might start using him since i got my lion to emperor now or finish of my Jacky(Grandmaster)

hey... check out the search function for info on dural and evolution ... glad you like the site. To answer your question about playable dural, you can play her only in versus mode if you beat her in kumite mode. She shows up after you've reached a high rank in kumite, and that doesn't happen until you've played a lot of games (like hundreds)

 

Cool Akira vid!! Wish I could do those m-Double Palm combos as consistently as you on a pad, but I'm getting there. Seems that you like to do OTB combos.

The 148 pts is a

, SPoD and then +, i have one like that in the video, but it takes off 132 pts.
If you want 148 I think you must connect the + at a spesific moment.

And yeah I have seen the ShinZ video, it's great.

 

I've gotten up to 163 with that single palm, SPoD, DBC combo. Here's an easier combo: Single Palm (wall hit), overhead double palm (+p), Yoho(+p), DBC. I've gotten 152 with that one.

Here's some OTB stuff.

+ -> + -> ++ -> + 100+

++ -> or++ -> + -> + -> DLC works only on Pai. 97 damage.

Replacing the DLC with + gives you 104 damage. You can also replace the DLC with two more modified Shoulder Rams.

Hey, I usually use Lion and Kage more but I'm tryin to get Akira to the main guy i use. Is there any tips you can give me on that double-palm linker? That's like the only thing that I can't link. Ohh yeah I can't do that knee from Akira either.

 

To do the dbplm fast you must crouch dash.
So when i am doing a dbplm in a combo, I'll do it this way.



If you use the search button, you will probably find alot of good answers how to pull of the Knee /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

I am using Pinnacle PCTV Rave.
The card is okey, but the software that comes with it sucks.
