1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. No worries vanity, I just thought it would have been ironic if you made the same mistake as Ohsu while correcting him /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif (or non-mistake, argh, now I'm confused.) Anyway, apologies for implying that.

    It should be [3][P]+[K]+[G][P](Counter) instead.
a typo mistake of the orange book!

    Akira: printable guide

Thank you to Ohsu, noodalls, Srider, and everyone else who answered my questions on this thread.

I've assembled a printable study guide for FT Akira. It's a combination of the Arcadia articles plus some other things I've found. I wanted something I could read while not at the computer. Feel free to download.

I made some changes - namely the "captions" are now called "summary" as there are no pictures in the guide. I reworded certain things so that they flow better (there are no references to photos anymore) but I did not want to remove Ohsu's writing style.

I plan to update the document as new articles are translated.

Please point out errors so I may correct them.

Seeing something like this makes everything worthwhile. I'm so glad to see people like you who would voluntarily work to give and provide better materials for everyone.

If only everyone can have FT to play, all would be complete.

Oh wow, Plague this is excellent work. This should be put under Akira's document section immediately.

Did they make [2_][6][P],[P] harder to do? It seems harder for some reason in FT.

And now that Akira has [3][3][P]+[K], I find it harder to pull out shoulder ram in combos since the new move sometimes comes out. Do I suck that bad, or are people now doing [1][1][6][P]+[K] just to be safe?

I've only played FT Akira for around 10 min. total against the cpu so maybe I just need more practice. I'm still waiting on my jamma harness cable to split to the 2nd cab before I play seriously. It comes in next week.

    It's the same.

Well, I wouldn't go as far to say you suck /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif but yeah, you're definitely not hitting the input correctly. Nobody I know does (or should be doing) the ShRm with a backward CD since it's a waste of frames going from [1] -> [6] (compared to [3] -> [6]).

I strongly recommend logging a lot more experience than 10 minutes with FT Akira /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif Thanks Myke.

I don't know why but I miss [2_][6][P],[P] way more then I did in Evo on PS2. Maybe it's easier on console or something. Who knows. Maybe I suck.

The shoulder ram I could be missing because of the angle I sit at. The naomi2, gdrom, etc..is all out on the floor in front of the cabs (I'll stick them in once I get that cable) and so I play sort of far from the cabs and at an angle. I'm sure once I'm right in front of the cabs and closer I can pull off these 2 moves better. I hope at least.
