Akira Match-ups

Since I didn't see any thread for tools against character specific situations, here is thread to discuss them. I'll start by contriuting something I found:

Vanessa's Ground Stance: Akira can use should ram, body check, and KNEE for some damage along with /. But some of these options are slow to perform on reaction or do very little damage. Personally, I believe is the best option in terms of speed (14f) and damage (34).

Any tips against Lei Fei?

I'm no expert on Lei Fei and I have not fought any really good ones yet; however, I find it easy to sidestep his attacks and counter with 4,6+P. I also use kick attacks (3+K, or DLC mix-ups) a bit more often than on other fighters, as he can auto-counter punch attacks (through his stance).

 

Sorry Sidna, it should have been . You can also use (hit-check?) follow up for extra damage if opponent doesn't tech/recover, but it wouldn't happen too often. Also, while is the fastest option to hit her in that stance and may lead to small combo, she has an inashi to deflect that.

 

Be careful using low hits versus lazy stance (at least people who know how to use it). Lazy stance + sabakis low attacks and can lead to a free combo.

Versus Lei-Fei, it's the same for when playing everyone. Learn his frames, what gives advantage on block, where he can delay attacks, learn the stance transitions. For example, don't mindlessly attack after blocking .

 

Yeah Sebo, that was the purpose of this thread. It's less of a general match-up thread and more of what is/are his best option(s) in certain character-specific situation.

I understand that my original question was quite ambiguous, but other people may have more specific questions and here is the thread to discuss them.
