Akira's bad match ups?

Which characters give him the most trouble?

 

Eileen... but that could just be because all I see are attacks, and I don't know wth she is doing half the time. I guess I just need more time against her, with people telling me what she is doing at the time. NinjaCW is being a big help.

The back PKG sabaki is good against her...

 

You have to sabaki eileen I think to beat her. Or use better nitaku than your opponent. I'm not gonna lie though she can be hard to beat with akira.

 

The sabaki works well because it seems like the vast majority of her strings start with PPP so that particular sabaki can punish her aggressiveness. Just my humble opinion...

 

KNow whats even worse about eileen is that i can barely find a single match on youtube of Eileen losing to akira....

Though aside from her, I always have a hard time with Shun and Lau. Personally though, I think it's because I laugh all the damn time whenever I see Shun... but Lau just seems to out beat everything I throw at the guy.

 

I've seen good Lau vs. Akira fights. Eileens can be defeated but I didn't know how to use her too well and I'm always learning so its probably just me. Vanessa looks like she could be trouble but only if she's not staying in DS

 

Lau is the one guy I feel like I always have a chance against with Akira, even if they are way higher Dan than me. Lau just seems predictable and predictable=dead in VF. like most Lau's do, I will kill them. Punish blocked sweeps and break strings with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif. Lau's think they're are sooo fast so they attack a lot from disadvantage and then they get countered and soundly beaten down. Not all Laus but a lot of them. Happy Friend (that's his gamer tag and he uses Lau) will destroy me basically every time though.

if they're mashing after block [happens with idiots], just use the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif follow ups for a crunching victoly!

Against Eileen, I find that I can beat her using mid distance [you heard, right, a keep away Akira? yes]

crouching punch followed by double palm/rising mixup games are definitely key with her and the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif + /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif Sabaki is quite good, though after I hit /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif I only do Renkentai afterward... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif . What are stronger followups? I can't bounce juggle off any of his Sabaki moves... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

In Ver C, after the same sabaki, you can do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif,/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif > DLC too.

 

Im having alot of problems vs jacky. Any particular advice? I try using 214pk sabaki when i can but thats all i can really think of...

 

Jacky has mid-high strings that end with a kick. For instance, if you hear beat-knuckle, duck the follow-up kick and attack with FC move of choice.

 

My toughest matchups so far have been Lei (a good one!) and Pai.
