It's fun to watch, but I don't think that it would ever work in a real fight.
It didn't seem like the opponent was really attacking and seriously doubt that a small nudge with the guy's shoulder would send the other guy flipping over.

It was interesting to watch though.

Anyone wiiling to pull of a DLC or SPoD? /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gifNow THAT would be funny!

Come to think of it if you watch Morpheus fight Neo in the dojo training part of the matrix, Morpheus does one of Akira's kick reversals on Neo.The one where he grabs his leg spins his body and pushes him away.

That move looked more like Paul Phoenix's kick reversal from Tekken than anything that's in VF.

Oops... just realized that's not the move you're talking about. You mean the one where Morpheus grabs Neo's leg and then does a palm strike that sends him flying backwards, right?

Yeah that's the one.Morpheus spins his back really quickly and sends Neo flying just like you can do with Akira reversals. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Of all the Akira 3-hit combo, the DLC is real, funny things is Akira love to finish his move with a body check, which is design to unbalance the opponent. Yet the martial artist in the avi use is it in a interesting way. Sin'I Ha, which is demonstrate in the second AVI actually belong to the Shaolin Art and character like Lei Fei should be using it. However the Real Sin'I Ha is use with a destructive force that can get the opponent killed. /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

If you watch lei feis animations and moves I think he actually has some " modified " Akira type moves like the single and double palms etc...but I've no idea where you draw the line between indivdual martial arts actions and the style they are supposed to represent.
