1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. I have been unable to do one of Akira's move:
    Knee - [K]+[G](release [G] after one frame).

    Any advice on how to do it on both Stick and PS2 controller?

    Thanks.

    P.S. BTW, below is my setup used for playing VF4 on the PS2

    [8]My PS2 Controller setup[/u]
    L1 - [P]+[K]
    L2 - [G]
    R1 - [P]+[K]+[G]
    R2 - [P]+[G]
    SQ - [G]
    X - [K]+[G]
    TR - [P]
    C - [K]

    (Bites tongue and counts to 10).

    Welcome to the site, it's easily the best (English) site for VF out there. First thing to bear in mind is that if you have a question, the likelihood is that someone asked your question sometime before you. Maybe even years before you. Maybe the question is asked over and over again.

    Such is your question about Akira's knee.

    To do it on a stick, what you're essentially doing is pressing K+G but flicking your thumb of the G so it barely registers (as it says so in the title, it actually must register for 1 frame only). I use my thumb on G and my second finger on K. Basically, you're looking to flick your thumb of the edge of the G button as you also press K.

    Go into free training, switch the display so you can see your inputs as frames and have a practice.

    If you're playing on a pad I'd recomend the set up

    Cross = [G]
    Square = [P]
    Triangle = [K]
    Circle = No Use

    and just do the same move as if you were playing on a stick.

    In future, it maybe best to try the search function of this site, it's really useful!

    It seems like this place has become 'Advise a newbie'-section, but it's fun that we've new VF players.
    To do Akira's knee on PS2 controller (pad) just press both [K] and [G] simultaneously. Well, not press but flick both buttons quickly. You've to use two fingers to do this so it may be hard to in the middle of the battle at first but if you play long enough it will become a reflex.
