My most wanted game after battllefield bad company 2 is defenetly this game, I'm so glad they didn't tone down the gore . Can't wait, see you all guys there.....on pc that is.

 

I can't find the 4pack offer on AvP. All I've found so far is threads on the forum requesting a 4pk, and everyone just saying that there isnt one.

My girlfriend and I are totally down to buy 2 copies of a 4pk, if they do indeed decide to offer one. As long as we get the pre-order bonuses.

 

This looks like one of the most goriest games ever. I'm looking forward to it too cause it just seems to have that bit of extra variety and atmosphere that make it stand out from other FPS's. I'm hoping all 3 races give a totally different experience.

I hope they don't fuck it up like monolith did with AVP2.

I hope it doesn't become MK syndrome where the only redeeming quality of the game is its fatalities.

 

Do Fatalities still count as redeeming qualities? Have they ever done in the last decade?

 

I've never played the AVP games. Played a Q2 mod called gloom which was similar and it was awesome. This game looks amazing btw.

 

I liked the Monolith game to be honest. The single player component anyways.

 

The lighting sucked, the tensity was toned down, and the multiplayer maps were shrunk to ridiculous sizes compared to the original's (which allows for better ambushes as Alien/Predator). Yeah, there was an actual story in the 2nd (and it was kinda nice all 3 overlapped at certain moments), but too damn cliche.

Also, the engine and movement just felt off and less fluid compared to the first. It was enough the game felt like a recycled, and inferior, version of No One Lives Forever (i.e. one of the best FPS made) with the similar animations, color palette, but without any of the humor and charm.

The only thing that makes the 2nd decent how you get to play through the alien life-cycle. But even that was kinda disappointing.

 

Well, from the videos I've been watching, the lighting and maps don't seem like an issue. That jungle looking stage is awesome.

For a game that's been in development and two weeks away from release, I can't find that much media on it.

There's going to be a demo this week and it may have multiplayer on it.

Count me out of the 4pk btw (if they actually offer one). We traded our two copies of Borderlands towards 2 copies of AvP at gamestop and got $35 each, so we're good.

FYI, I'm so excited for this game!

 

I bought the classic version today, lots of fun. Way too hyper though (got me kinda dizzy how fast the game was)
