An Empty Win?

Has anyone else just had those moments where you knew you were being outplayed or someone just really had your number and yet you pull something out of your ass and win? And not the kinda "wong factor" comeback where you just do everything right for about 15 seconds, I mean the "omg i've gotten bodied by *blank* 5 times and I'm willing to just take the win at any cost".

Don't get me wrong I'm a firm believer in "A win is a win". BUT, I just hate a win that I got with a gimmick, especially online cus I mean...it didn't mean anything and I'll just get bodied by *blank* again once he (steps,ducks etc.). Salty at myself lol.

 

You don't sound like a believer to me.

I also don't believe.

 

The only time I feel empty is when I get a win by hitting the wrong move. eg. Was going for a throw, jab came out instead, landing the killing blow.

 

Yeah I often get that feeling too.

 

I feel empty getting a win against a guy that I know is better than me simply for the fact that I know that my techniques aren't nearly as good as them and they simply weren't playing their best, either on purpose or by accident. I'll take the win, but I definitely don't let it go to my head. Sometimes, flukes happen and I think recognizing them as being flukes keeps me grounded in reality which is the simple fact that my game requires lots of work.

 

Pretty much whenever I`m not play Jeffry or Eileen.

Been playing as Akira, Jacky, Taka, Lion, Shun, Goh, Vanessa, Wolf, Jean, well everyone a lot lately. Wow. WOW. I feel the smegma accumulating, so much cheese available.

This happens to me all the time.

 

If I don't learn anything...not one single thing...my match feels empty. Win or lose. I don't know if I want to win so much as I want to not lose. Losing means I have to get up out of my seat and I don't get to play for a bit, that sucks. Winning means I get no relief. I have to gird my loins and do it all over again because some other scumbag wants to take my seat.
Edit: I try to consciously, after every session I play in, every casual or tournament, whatever think of 3 concrete and specific things I learned that day.
