Any other old bastards?

Hey what's up fellas? I wondered who all the old dudes were. We gots to stick together in this young man's world. I got nothing against playing with 12 year olds on xbl but I do prefer adults around my own age..
I used to love to shit talk too, so I understand the high energy of these young folks, I just would rather chill back and not have to listen to them rebel against their parents..

So who's old? I want to be able to be more selective in my friends list on xbl.

Some of those regular guys from the States are in their late teens, even though they sound older, but for sure, we have guys here old enough to be their dads Japan probably has quite a few silver haired vets still dropping yen into the cabs. Just one of the many things I love about VF now over SF: way less juvenile retardation in general.

You play like you're 81.. Just kidding, sort of. See, it surprises me that you're so young, even though it shouldn't. I had never heard your voice or even seen what you'd typed before we fought. So all I had to go on, was your fighting style, which seemed mature: not a lot of anger, with a willingness to experiment and fuck up a little, even if it meant losing to a noob. I pictured you as a middle aged man with kids and a whife lol..

 

What do you consider old? Evenpit: there are alot of young VF players

 

I am a noob as well so if i see an opening ima try & go for it even if it means getting hammered for it. Yes there are a lot of young kick ass VF players. I consider old to be 40 & over but theres nothing wrong with being old.

 

Remember: age has nothing to do with skill

 

If anything it would be advantageous to be younger, I think. I remember thinking older generations had trouble adapting to new technology, as well as the whole hand / eye coordination video game thing. I just assumed when I got old the same thing would happen to me. I'm sure there's plenty of older players with a great amount of skill as well, but I picture the top worldwide player being some Japanese 16 year old (I have no idea though).

 

I am in my thirties and I feel old as dirty dealing with my stupid life and VF seems to be my best way to vent it all out legally without strangling people I see on the street and at work. VF actually relaxes me and every other new game now only adds to the stress I deal with even SF. I grew on SF starting with the original SF2 and I will always love it but it is just too annoying with all crap in it now.

Gamers nowadays with the exception of a select few are spoiled and don't know what was like before the current age of gaming without the online streams and patches for games etc. Oh well that is to be expected and I don't blame them. I blame the system that they grew up in but that is enough complaining from me on this topic for now. I don't want to make another masterpo like post here that would be excessive.

 

SMB (aka wasted wish) and myself are 32 years old. Anytime pai is being used by social ruin its smb/aka shameless moocher.

Im pretty young. Im 15, balls has not dropped yet lol. I remember the good ol VF4 days. I was 4 or 5, the ps2 controller was to big for my hands. Damm how I miss those days.

Dam, 15! That's dope man. You probably the youngest steady VF player in america, lol. Reminds me of my good ol days when I was 12-13 doin work on cats in the arcades. Though I long quit that when I was 15. Super Nintendo snatched me up out of there.

I'm 31... at 29 (Which is considered the prime of reflexes and recognition). I think 2 moves ahead of my opponents now that im older rather just reacting to what i see only. now if they don't what i assume.. now i have to go back to the reacting to what i see. sounds confusing but when some of you get up there you will understand.. Feels weird when i look back at a topic and i said i was 26 lmao!!

 

The title of this thread made me laugh.

 

I supposed twenty-nine is getting up there, but now going to the arcade is more fun because I don`t have to spend as much money in some respects (PINBALL!!!!). The younger set have their ways, but they`re so much more fun to beat up on due to the rage. Good times!
