anybody else get doom 3

I did, having a blast...right now I am stuck on the part with the teleporters...where/how in the hell do I get to the "main" one...when I select main platform, it brings me back to the begining of the level. Arg...beautiful game, btw...maybe not entirely eye dropping, but definatly beautiful.

 

Yes very beautiful when 90% of the time you see is pinch black on the screen. Really nice.

Well, I can't see the multiplayer in this game being all that great...the single player is FUN, if not a bit tedious at times....upon playing further, it is not the comming of baby jesus the industry would have us believe.

bleh..run, shoot, run...bleh...I have UT2k4 if I want something along those lines..and has much more interesting weapons.

 

Doom 3 is an awesome game so far. Its exactly what the old doom was but better in every way possible. I haven't been able to do the multiplayer yet, but I'm sure its not as good as UT2k4. but comparing the two games is kinda silly, other than the fact that they are both FPS's they are focused on two different things. The multiplayer is awesome in UT but the single player mode is teh whackness and the story is *shrug*. Doom 3's main focus is obviously the single player mode, not that I dont expect the multiplayer mode to go through some changes over the upcoming months. All in all on the FPS scale I give this game a 4 out 5 . I think its on the level of half life.

 

The game is awesome and i just finished it. Took me like 20 hours. Definitely the best FPS i've played so far. The game looks so good too with all the eye candy on. Here's a screenie i just took:

 

Can you help me out then? What the hell do I do at the teleporter level?

 

Just explore the area more and you'll find out how to do it. I don't remember exactly how i did it but i do remember it wasn't too hard. It's just a little bit of trial and error.
