I've been a fan of Hardcore for a long time, but I have gotten seriously out of the loop over the past few years. I'm a big fan of Biohazard, Husker Du, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Gorilla Biscuits, Sick of it All, and similar bands. Can anyone recommend any newer bands to check out or hell any I've probably overlooked in more than 5 years? Thanks.

I got a few Bad Brains songs and I guess Operation Ivy and Zero Boys sound kind of like them.

Get "Take Warning" from Operation Ivy (it's not really hardcore though) and "Vicious Circle" and "Amphetamine Addiction" from Zero Boys (probably more what you like).

    Also try

    The Adicts - 1, 2, 3, 4

You've probably already heard of these bands though. I got a few more, but my memory sucks and I can't recall their names.

    Amazon Hardcore Albums

I find just going to places like Amazon and typing in your favorite band will bring results of some similar. The link above gives a list of a whole lot of different Punk/Hardcore bands and the cd's 1 guy swears by and recommends.

    Hope this helps.

Kid Dynamite's self titled first album. Some catchy songs, some angry songs, and some catchy/angry songs.

The Refused- The Shape of Punk to Come: As technically accomplished a hardcore album as there is. Refreshingly earnest or hillariously earnest, depending on what kind of mood you're in. "I've got a bone to pick with capitalism....and a few to break!!!!!"
