Anyone know a Japanese player name Gonta (sic?)

There is a team of five players belonging to the team ★ゴン太王国★, with all similar names. The leader is ★ ゴン太 ★ but there is also ★ ゴン太さん ★,★ ゴン太くん ★, ☆ ゴン太 ☆, and ★ ｋｉｎｇ ★. Aside from king, who is apparently a female player, the rest of the team is pretty strong. They are all listed as living in one city with the same age and same gender, so they are probably different people living in different areas of Japan.

So yeah... he uses everyone, and he's really good with a lot of characters. Basically anyone over 10th Dan is an above average player.

 

Wow, can you just pull up someone's card listings if you have their name Reno? If so, that's damn cool.

 

KrsJin: Yeah if you are connected to VF.net you can search for players via name, and you can also search for teams too.

akai: Gonta is also a pretty common name, if you leave out the stars from the nickname, there are actually three players named Gonta, so it's not surprising that there are multiple Gonta players out there. There are probably a ton more when you consider that not all of them register on VF.net. Also, sometimes you'll see famous players changing their names all the time because people like to impersonate them or something. I know Fuudo doesn't really do this, but some players in the Kansai area like Fuumin change their ring names a lot.

 

You could have teams setup on the VF network? Cool, I didn't know that.
