Anyone still playing VF5 on PS3?

Just wondering if EVERYONE has moved on; because I'm still playing version B (need to find a means to use my MAS on 360).

Also, I'm assuming the Xbox 360 version is the new tournament/gathering standard now as well. Is this an accurate assumption? Is anyone still hosting gatherings for PS3?

When my friends came over last time we played with PS3 (I have both machines) because everybody preferred VSHGs to EX2s. This will propably change in the future.

I use my PS3 for VF5 about every day. I will get X360 someday as I feel like I'm missing out on online goodness.

I am still playing the PS3 version. With the recent announcement of ver D and possibly EVO, a home port should not be too far away. I will wait and see where that takes VF5.

Still sticking with the PS3, since I don't have a 360 and don't really plan on getting one anytime soon.

I use the ps3 version instead of the xbox when:

I'm practicing non-ver C specific stuff & I don't want my living room to sound like a wind tunnel / chipper shredder.

I want to be able to see something other than black blobs where characters' clothing and faces used to be.

Other than that, xbox FTW.
(yes, I am resentful)

The official mini tournament we had in Poland was on 360, but that's 'cause Microsoft offered to give them to us for the tournament. No choice there, however ppl still prefered PS3 VF5 (due to controllers available) and we used PS3s on the after party later. Any future meetings with VF5 will be with PS3 ver. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I would be playing VF5 on the PS3, but the PS2 version of Deus Ex is more enthralling.

What's the point playing VF5 if you have a XBox 360, it's not online on PS3, people would play it on XBox 360.

I'll still play it on Playstation 3.

The gamma on the xbox version is totally fucked up, and there's no way I can find to adjust it. Jeff's face looks like a black blob, there's no visible detail in black leather clothing, etc etc.

This on identical display device, identical display settings, identical cable to PS3.

People who don't notice this probably had LCD sets, tuned ridiculously bright & washed out to begin with.

Add me to the ps3 list. Stupid ps3 not having a patch.

KoD, sounds like your set has problems... or maybe the 360. I have a 56" DLP HDTV, and no problems like that here.

no problem with black blobs here, and my LCD settngs are pretty much the opposite of washed out.

Yeah KoD I noticed the same problems as well. I am using a Samsung LCD screen. I had the PS3 version before and now have the Xbox360 version. The latter looks a lot darker, and the contrast is higher.

It looks fine with the PS3 version.

Not that much of a big deal, but there is definitely a difference.

I still play on the PS3. It has frustrated my local competitor he would love to have the online option be on the PS3. It's because of that that he has been turned off from playing the game on the PS3. I can see his frustration but he is a great competitor and my play skills have went down since playing him last.
It doesn't matter for me because my online option would be crap if I had the 360 anyways.

Well, I see there is still a good handful of us. That's interesting that the 360 has those bizarre visual effects on some HDTV sets. When KoD 1st mentioned that, I thought he had his 360 hooked up to a plasma tv that fell victim to "burn in." But this is actually happening on LCD's? Strange how the settings on some tv's would have to be adjusted according to which console you're playing the game on /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif.

Nice to hear PS3 version is still the tourney standard for some. I'm guessing the lack of being able to use a VSHG is more of a factor for most, than an unwillingness to buy a 360. Not being able to play the game under perfect circumstances is much more of a deal breaker for me, than finding a way to afford more next-gen hardware.

I haven't play in awhile myself and plan to use the PS3 version still. I have the 360 version but I haven't played it yet and won't until I get feel for the PS3 version that way when I practice version C I am not completely lost.
