Anyone want to teach me how to throw escape?

I can do throw escapes and ETEG's just fine in the dojo but when it comes to actually applying them in-game or just regular throw escapes in general, I can't seem to do it. Anyone interested in drilling throw escapes into me via player matches?

 

Online lag effects throw-escape timing. If you can TE and ETEG in Quest Mode (meaning during an actual fight and not a controlled training mode exercise), you are doing fine.

 

It looks like you already have the timing down. I suggest you learn the situations when it is best to TE, ETEG, and TEG.

Look at your movelist and look at the numbers under the Guard heading. Focus on the moves that leave you at -7 through -9/-10/-11 (lightweight/mid/heavy) for ETEG. -12 through anything worse focus on TE and TEG.
