Anyone willing to stop by PA?

Just wondering if anyone lives reasonably close by (Northeastern region of Pennsylvania). I would like to organize a gathering at my house for those who are interested. No tournament; unless enough people want to have one just for the hell of it. The closest I can go for some good competition is NYC; other than a few friends that live here in Scranton (that are also avid VFrs). If anyone is interested, let me know. I own a fairly large house, so we can be as loud as we want, etc. Between the house, my job, etc. it's difficult for me to travel (even to NYC) to play VF with others. So if anyone is willing to let me host a gathering here, please let me know and we'll work on setting a date.

No purple, I didn't know that was you; but I'm glad to see your still around /versus/images/icons/smile.gif . I can def. set something up sometime in January or February; or whenever. Let me know when is best for all of you. I have a whole house all to myself, 27" TV, and stereo sound pumping out of medium sized speakers. I'm only 2hrs away from Philly. BTW, Shadowdean; did I meet you a few yrs. back at NYG2? I was the dumb bastard who brought his girlfriend (got picked on by Chanchai for that one; in one of his post NYG2 threads /versus/images/icons/tongue.gif ). Not sure, but I thought you might have been there too. Also, if Akira zero/purplestuffedworm can get a hold of the guy from Reading, PA (Anonymuss I think his name was??), that would be great as well. I have a few friends here that play VF regularly. One is very good; the others are learning quickly. They really don't have a choice due to how competitive my one friend and I are at VF. Anyway, if you guys are all serious about this (as Akira zero knows; my last gathering attempt over at Gamefaqs fizzled out as the time drew closer), then we can definately make it happen!

 

Well, I received a few PM's, and the crew from Florida is thinking about coming up (wow!). Anyone else relatively close (not that Florida is /versus/images/icons/grin.gif ). Philly, Maryland, NYC? Creed, I've noticed your from Virginia. I have a friend that lives there and he's about 4 hrs. from Scranton. What part of VA are you from? If enough people are serious about this; then I'll have to find a way to get another TV or 2. Anyway, how does sometime in February sound? Mid Feb. at the latest.

The peeps from FL might come? That's great. I didn't play them much at NYG3. It'd be good to play them again. I'll be sending my friend Anonimuss a pm/email soon. I really hope he will respond quickly. I can bring my PS2 also and maybe even my tv.

 

What's up Akira Zero. I am trying to get some of the people from Florida to come up and play. I don't remember when imf and Blonde one will be going to Korea, but if it's the same time, the rest of us will be here not doing much. But working and our other stuff. We might plan a road trip if everyone's schedules permit. Later.

Damn, I don't think I can make it. Too short notice; plus the whole holiday thing. Shadowdean; I'm going to set a date this week sometime. It's looking like February (early to mid). If enough people are interested and show up, I'll def. need an extra TV and PS2 from a few people. I have to get back up to NYC; it's been a long time since I've played those guys. I remember having some awesome Wolf vs. Akira/Jeffry vs. Taka matches with Adam Yuki at VF3tb. I also remember piccolo (Sal); and a Lion player named Peter. Not sure if he still posts here or what name he posts under. Is he even still around? Anyway, I'll get back to you guys about a def. date. And if anyone from NYC can make it; they're more than welcome /versus/images/icons/smile.gif .

When would be good for you guys? January? Let me know. I swing shifts weekly at my job; so I want to plan it on a weekend following a 1st shift rotation. That way, we can start Friday as early as 4:30pm, and play til anytime Sunday night. Since I'll be going back on 2nd shift, I won't have work til 3pm on Monday. If we played on a weekend following 2nd shift; I wouldn't get out of work til 11pm Friday night, and I'd have to be back in a 7am Monday morning. That's why I haven't set a date yet. I have to check the calendar tomorrow at work to see what shifts I'm on so I can pick an ideal weekend. Anyway, let me know when would be good for you, and maybe I can do this towards the end of January instead; depends on what shift I'm on for whatever weekend that would be best for you guys.

 

Jan, for all events, seems to be the prefered month.

 

Throwmasta, any weekend would be good for me, but the earlier the better I'd say. I'll be down for whatever date u guys set up. I'll try to get WarMatter to come also.

 

Then January it is. I'll give you all an exact date when I get my hands on a 2003 calendar and find out what my work schedule will be like (I need to know what shifts I'll be on before and after the weekend of the gathering). As early as mid January is a definate possibility. End of January at the absolute latest. Is this a problem for anyone? Let me know...

 

Okay guys,

It's looking like the weekend of January 17, 18, and 19th. Is that ok with everyone? If it is, then that is the definite date. Let me know. If there is a good showing, I'll need at least one more tv and ps2 (I only have one of each). Whoever is a definately coming, let me know asap. Thanks.

I can't guarantee anything at that time, cause school starts the 13th..it will depend on my workload.
