crescent = spinning kicks. eg. k+g for lau or when someone gets knock down and they do a rising kick(while face up, leg closest to opponent).

Elbow means elbow. eg. f+p for jacky, sarah, etc.

Ground reversal is p+k when aoi is on the ground. It reverse ground attack moves like d/f+p for akira.

mid kick is done by pressing d/f+k.

Yes, Aoi can do ground attack reversal by holding P+K while she's on the ground. I'm happy to have used it on the likes of Adam Yuki and Ice-9 among others, hehehehe.

For sure, Aoi has to be face up, and I've only properly used it when she was face up-feet towards.

press f+p to do elbow for aoi.

d+k+g to do a low crescent. Or p,p,p,d+k

She does not have any other crescent besides that...

i i the revelsals i cant learn my A.I. are:
    somersault reversal
    high crescent reversal
    side kick reversal
    high elbow reversal
P.S. should i just p+k when on the ground or should i 'time' it ?

Hehe, the grounded reversal is almost useless, since you have to use it when you could be rolling instead. It doesn't inashi pounces, and it doesn't even give you much of an advantage, but it IS very demoralizing. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

And it totally sucks when you don't mean to use it, but you do. If you're playing against someone good, they can recognize it, and know you're now vulnerable.

when/what situations is this move usuable? Against what type of pounces?

Not against pounces, but against down kicks & down punches (IE -- when you are down). When Aoi is laying on her back, hit P+K and you'll see her legs twitch -- that's the reversal. If someone is kicking you then, then you'll throw them out of the way. not reall advantageous, so just saves you from some damage.

The only thing that might help is to practice on doing everything then something may come up to you to figure out the answers for your questions.

That is how I learned almost everything about her. Aoi is just the perfect character for me.

Good point, Genjuro. I love playing w/ Aoi. You get to trick the hell out of your opponent. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Based on testing, the P+K ground attack reverse is usable vs the following ground attacks: Pai, Lion, Aoi, and Akira's df+P; Sarah, Jacky, Lau, Jeffry, Vanessa (either stance), and Kage's df+K. It can't be used against Lei, Shun, or Wolf. The df+P reversals and the df+K reversals are different in how they affect the opponent, and, as mentioned, Aoi must be face up; I've reversed attacks with either her head or feet facing the opponent.

I *THINK* you can use it against Lei's (d/f+K). Don't quote me on that, but I think i've done it. As per before, I generally avoid that, b/c you're left WAAAY open if you use it and they don't attack. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

And I *think* you can't do it against Lei's df+K, and you CAN quote me on that. I have tried more than enough times in training mode and in practice to be convinced it can't be done. But I am not arrogantly stupid either. One should never say for certain that something can't be done just because one can't do it her/himself. So although I have a high degree of confidence in my statement, I am open to learning. If someone can confirm for certain that they have reversed it, I'd be interested in hearing about it. I intend to periodically experiment some more (I've been wrong before), so if it ever happens, I'll have no problems in reporting it.

Nope, can't confirm, hence the THINK in all caps. Aesthetically speaking, I don't see the difference in that down attack and anyone elses that doesn't use a sholder.

Yeah, I agree there is no dramatic difference in appearance. All I am saying is that based on actual testing/experience, I have not been able to successfully reverse Lei's stomp with Aoi's ground reversal, and I was trying to share that information since some questions had been asked. I could of course be wrong about Lei's df+K, I just have no reason to think so. At least I actually test my claims... But I do keep an open mind, and will continue random testing to see what turns up. As I've said, I have no problem with finding out I am wrong, if it should ever turn out I am. I prefer knowing the truth, even if it means being proven wrong. Ideally, this forum should be a resource for shared learning, not one for showing off knowledge or asserting unverified information as though it were fact.
