The down attack reversal into the ring out = ownage. I don't play Aoi but I sure did enjoy watching that.

 

I think those down attack reversals were in VF4 (maybe just Evo?), but weren't in command training, so being a casual player back then, I didn't really know about them, or use them. That said, the first time I discovered they existed was when I was knocked down literally right along the edge of the ring, and I accidentally just button mashed a down attack reversal, and ringed out my friend. He was soooooo pissed about that loss, lol. One of the few matches we recorded, and he'd always pull it out to show Aoi's "BS play".

 

Hi, I'm the player in those above Aoi vids as all 2P side.
The down attack counter is little difficult to use in the rounds.
Because maybe you know, you must hit the buttons repeatedly,
then you input P+K for the opponent's attack.
But ofcourse, you have to be careful against enemy's 8P attack or down throw attack.
I was just lucky in that match. (hah

Nin has got a bunch of good Aoi movies over at the hk-vf page. Unfortunately, it is only streamable with the Windows Media Player. But if you are clever than you download a program that can stream and save MMS files to your HD.
