Since i've gotten evolution i noticed that both Aoi and Pai(i think) have a new rising from crouch attack. Aoi's is a palm using [P]+[K](i think) and Pai's might just be [P]. Well i like them, they seem cool and new to their attacks but i'm wondering what some really good uses of them are.(mainly Aoi) for Aoi i use it to mix up my low punch to her new FC throw, instead i'll do her rising palm or her rising elbow hit-throw. But thats just from up close and after a low punch. I also find it's kind of useful after techrolling or something i think when you recover in a crouch i think. But I REALLY want a way to use this to keep the pressure on. I like crouch dashing into it but i'm not sure of waht a really great/damaging followup would be, any help would be great!

IMO you should use rising [P]+[K] instead of [2_][3][P] because it's uncounterable (but [2_][3][P] is nice, even if your [2][P] is blocked /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif). Also, if rising [P]+[K] is guarded, the opponent can be tempted to throw you because it looks similar to her (throw-counterable)[2_][3][P]. In this situation, you can avoid elbow/knee as well as all high attacks and throws with [4][4][P]+[K] (this move is punch-counterable if it's blocked, so if you want to reduce the risk, you can do [4][4][P]+[K][G]cancel instead). This technique doesn't avoid mid kicks or low attacks, so you should be diverse with your defensive techniques by using reversals, inashi, or evade. If you do this well, they will be afraid to counterattack.

I don't think there's any guaranteed followup to Aoi's rising [P]+[K], but it creates very nasty mind games. It's a powerful stagger, so [6][P][P] will knock them down if they don't recover fast enough. Also, since you have such a large advantage during this stagger, you can usually dash forward and throw while they're struggling. Start the mind games by mixing [6][P][P]([G]cancel) -> throw and [6][P] -> [4][3][P]+[K] This works more often than you think. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

    Rising [P]+[K] isn't throw counterable?

    It's uncounterable. Around -5 or -6.
