Say it gets released either at launch or 2nd generation for the PS3, will you buy it right away?

Or will you wait about a year for the next installment: VF5 v.B or v.C? We all know AM2 is gong to release another VF5 so can you guys wait or will you have to buy it?

I'll probably wait until I can get it used and play it a bit and finally buy the final VF5 version new.

The console version will probably be the most current just like VF4(Ver.C) and Evo(Ver. B).

If you mean VF5 Evo or something, then I'll probably buy that too. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I wonder if they'll go a Tecmo route and put an upgraded VF4 FT on the Xbox 360 or PS3 that would feature online play? This would give them a console presence on the next gen while allowing VF5 to mature in the arcades a bit.

    same here brah, excellent decision

it doesn't even matter how shitty said system's controller is, because you can't play VF on anything short of a custom controller anyways /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, popularity of new next-next-gen consoles depends on which of 'em will get VF5 /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Hmm...I just thought of something:

Since the PS3 is going to utilize the internet and the HDD MUCH more than the PS2, it should be possible for AM2 to release downloadble patches or updates.that way we can just get the frame adjustments or whatever weekly or monthy and not have to buy a whole new game. It'd also be cheaper for AM2 in terms of cutting production costs...

How feasible do you guys think this will be?

    Found on same PS3 site:

Sony representative Chatani has told Famitsu Magazine, that a strategy for the hard drive option has "yet to be decided", but added that he felt people would want to upgrade to higher capacity drives.

I've found info that when you buy HDD for ps3 ther will be Linux pre-installed on it. And that's good news.

If they made Linux KIT for ps2 why they wouldn't do something similar for ps3??

No they dont, Toshiba is the reluctant partner in CELL, they didnt want anything to have to do with CELL but are contractually obliged to produce half of the processors for Sony becouse they have a processor manufacturing deal that is a long term deal(the other half is made by IBM in their East Fishkill plant in the US)

If they make PS3 VF5 I'll buy it as soon as it comes out.

If they make VF5.2 a year later I'll buy that one too.
