Are you in Virtua Fighter?

Back in the day (Dreamcast era), I use to work at Sega. I have a couple buddies who work there now, and one of them managed to get me and a few friends in to the game. I was wondering if anyone else here managed to sneak themselves in, and what their name was.

The one's I've come across so far:

Reyodin (Kage) - my friend @ Sega who got us in.

Euro Kidd (Akira) - my best friend... known in Tekken circles as Uro Kidd

King Raul (El Blaze) - my buddy Raul, who's dad is in the band Santana

There is a couple more friends I haven't had a chance to come across yet, but I've fought these three. Matter of fact King Raul beat me the first time I fought him during a tournament, lol. That was embarassing.

Still looking for myself in there... Reyodin told me I'm the highest ranked of them, so holla at me if you see a Goh by the name of Fuuma, and tell me what arcade he was in, so I can go beat my own ass lol.

 

An awful lot of people from here used the Sega website to add our names and PR lines to the game. Pretty much all regulars are in the game. From my close friends that I remember:

Angry Fist - Akira (they changed my name.. can tell from PR line, Finland/Live to fight)

It would have been better if they changed your name to "Angry Mans"

I know I saw Konjou Akira there as Konjou Aki... though I don't know the community too well so I can't honestly say who else I've seen. @_@:

 

I've seen plenty of forum names from here in the game. I was very surprised and started laughing as I came across more of them. I'm assuming they won't be taking any more names/PR stuff.

When I saw a few of those names, I was like "O shit. He's gonna kick my ass." Jeneric's Vanessa and especially EMX's Wolf come quickly to mind. I'm not sure how they assigned ranks to you guys, but I was getting pissed at EMX's Wolf. I was like, "This mod is kicking my ass with his dark getup. I sure as hell 'betta tech that' or I will die." It's cool how some people actually stand out and are fun to play in Quest Mode.

 

I lose to myself quite often. hehe if only I could play as good as that mod. It would be dope!

EMX did indeed give me problems. I think he was a higher Dan rank too (with me being Vanquisher). If he was, then he definitely stood out playstyle-wise. They should just delete all the 600 or more "boring" opponents that are just purely filler for the mode and keep the good ones that stand out; I wouldn't get bored of Quest Mode like that.

I can't wait to run into more "real" people. They did not make TexasLion annoying; that pisses me off because they probably should have.

I don't think I've run into you in Quest Mode yet. That's very bad . . .

for me, lol. I've just started running into the more annoying, better opponents. I've run into Denkai's Jacky, and oh is he very annoying, and for good reason too. I got murdered without a sweat the first time. IDK if it's just me, but the comp kinda gets dumber after he gets a win (or a few) on me. And it also seems to be a pattern that if the opponent is not dumb and/or is annoying to fight against (AKA playing smart), then it's probably a VFDC member in disguise.

I wonder if I'll run into Oioron/Shag/Adam/the rest of the crew later on. Oh well, no other way to learn besides beatdowns. There's definitely other annoying opponents I've run into; I should post their names and see how people rank them in real life as actual players.

I am assuming that all the "Arcade Ace" people are real and are professional ass-whoopers. And that those with "unattainable" ranks, like Assassin and such, are scrub killers. Watch me run into some Japanese players that'll slaughter me.

 

I believe the "Arcade Ace" tag just means that player isn't specific to a single arcade... they'll roam around and show up in multiple places. A lot of them are named for high ranked japanese VF players though, it seemed.

 

Wow, that's awesome. I had no idea that they did that. I think it's a great way to get the community involved in the game. Still, I'm glad my boy Rey called me up, and got my info, because I hadn't been playing VF for a long while, and would have missed out.

 

that's really cool. hehe i know my vanessa character is in there. i had it in the game since the ps3 version. she's more harder in the 360 version so it was fun.

I actually met my own 'Vortigar' Goh (Protector rank) for the first time this Monday...

He looks pretty stylish in a cream white trench coat with red hair.

I had to cheap out to beat him too.

I have a lot of problems against AI Goh with Brad.

 

I ran into Myke's Kage in the 360 version as well.

 

I wish we had a compiled list. It's just so much cooler to me to think that I am fighting someone's avatar.
