Wow, FT Goh and Basara. All we needed was for him to win the match for the hat trick of rarities, but even without that, it was a great clip.

Nice matches, I'd heard Ohsu started playing Goh, nice to see it (HimoriOhsu (Goh): Hinogami Ohsu, Goh's name). Also, I'm pretty sure TsukiKage (Kage's Mom's name, Dural) there is Yoro eh?

I'm not a big KKSara fan, but his finish to Kofu was pretty gnarly.

Seeing Yoro miss the new Dragon Punch twice & Mukki miss the SPoD (after 50,000 matches on his card, not counting version C), in the end, are these commands too hard? Just thinking out loud...

Very Nice matches overall (nice to see some Akira play too)

I made the post before having watched the clips, so the names are my translation of what appears on the site. Only after watching the vids did I realise who they were, and I agree that its Ohsu's Goh and Yoro's Kage.

Great movies though. That one wall combo that Yokohama Lau did made me cringe. Ouch!

bryan: i dunno abt command too hard...I'm pretty confident with my spod on both sides...but recently, i've missed more than i can to remember.

must be the old age. T___T

But yeah, awesome movies! Prolly the best vids for the past few months

Myke: yeah, not nit-picking, just pointing it out /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif only reason I recognized Yoro was because of the special rank & team name.

Freddie: Sure, it's not that the command(s) itself is that hard, and if someone like me misses I can easily say: I need more practice. But when I see Mukki miss, and I know he practiced @ sportsland (frequently just fighting CPU) all time when I was in Japan (and his fight count speaks for itself), it's food for thought. I mean, it isn't THAT hard, and we know he can do it, so why do even the best players miss sometimes? Because we aren't robots? If there was a way to NEVER miss a command like SPoD, whether it's something physically or mentally, wouldn't Mukki have found it?

But some commands, even slightly complicated ones, we almost never miss (even me). I mean, since the dawn of FT, I've only seen Kage's new DP maybe 5 times? Is that because it isn't usefull? Or is it a little too hard for most people? Just curious, it's a concept I think about a lot. How difficult or challenging is too much? Mukki guessed right, and he's practiced and played to the highest degree, should he always get the reward?. Or should he have to live with a margin of error, even if it's just 5%?

    I understand your pov.

I think it's inevitable that players will miss combos from time to time. Even the great homestay.. I see him miss stuff heaps...In some ways, I find this sort of 'combo miss' as the random factor that makes any fighting game interesting.

It's the one variable factor that cannot be predicted and changes the entire match.

Hi, Bryan. I like you throwing out the food for thought. VFDC needs more of these definately.

From my own perspective, I am pretty confident about my execution of SPOD and other Akira moves, but I find myself missing moves or combos when I feel less confident about a certain situation.

In other words, when I went for SPOD and all of sudden somehow got to think in the middle that it would get blocked, I sometimes find myself stopping after the 2nd hit of SPOD trying to be prepard for the situation when it gets blocked(-15).

As a rule, when pressure gets to someone, all sorts of things can happen, and the easiest thing in the world in a normal situation could become difficult. I assume that Mukki missing SPOD might have had something
to do with him playing against Fudo in that match. You are under pressure, and you become less confident about what you do.

I believe that command always matters, and it becomes even more so in high level play. A 2 input command moves are much more difficult to execute than an one input move even if its command'd be 66P or something like that when things go fast and furious.

Edit: The kage with special rank might be Yoro's g/f. I think it might of been her playing with Yoro's card. I've seen her doing it before, and the name on the website says that it's Yoro's girl. (The kage also plays like her to me).

yea links are down. I got home pretty late today and it seems like I missed out. If someone has these and care to rehost them somewhere it would be greatly appreciated. IRC or MSN is cool also! Thanks in advance for any help.

Gosh yeah, that wall trick was pretty crazy. I usually do something similar with 46P but that just beats it in flash and damage..... crazy.

& got there from the stumble throw. i wasn't sure who was gonna win the match (kage always has chances) before that. even after i had some questions. all answered nicely. richard's gonna like this guy. really good lau though aoi had to know that supercrescent was coming...had to know that's what lau was twitching on.

good punishment of offensive subroutine'ing(especially vs 'agressive' movement) in lots of these matches & then a couple of nasty akira wall tricks. on that one i called dfs wall>knee but had forgotten all about ft's charging p on k+g,p...i even asked about it awhile back for wall/TR situations but this one was really nice because of the weirdness around the wall hit.

    good stuff. thanks.

That's what I thought at first, too, but those are from the first update. Movies 3-5 were just removed for some reason.
