Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Can't you ask about something that's actually important? Like "why did you fuck the profiles up"?

    Hello,

It would be great if I could save and take my character data with me on a usb jump drive. I would like to be able to upload the data on other players' PS3s when playing VF5. Please create a downloadable patch for VF5 so this can happen.

    Thank you for your consideration,

    Talis

  6. I'm probably going to ask something related to the Xbox 360 version, like if X360 gamers can swap replays, custom characters and/or AI profiles over Live or something. That would be nice. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I'd just like to know whats going on with the 360 version of the game. It isn't even listed on the site yet everybody knows it going there. At least put it up under 360.

Back on topic (aka PS3): anyone know if the PS3 pads are easily hackable or the same analog crap that was with PS2 last generation? :?

    The questions I asked:

#1 Will Sega USA support or sale a joystick for VF5 PS3 and if so will the joystick be compatible for the X360 version as well?

#2 Will I be able to transfer character data from one PS3 to another…via online or memory stick?

#3 Will you be able to transfer character data on the 360 version via online or memory card?

#4 Any plans to sponsor a VF5 tourney? For example, the VFDC Tourneys (http://virtuafighter.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=148091) or EVO 2k7 (www.shoryuken.com).

Btw VF5 is gold and asking for any revisions is a null question.

Wait so Sega is going so sponsor some sort of tournament in the U.S. for VF5?

So are you serious... PS2 Evo all over again where you can't have my data play against someone else's data unless they are both started on the same save file?

    Did Sega learn nothing? WTF?!

What's the point of decking out your char if you can't use them against someone else's decked out char?

you can store like 20 profiles of one character on one console lol, just turn someones ps3 into a arcade machine.

    Cla Well-Known Member

So if you make individual files for each profile, then why can you not just copy that onto a memory stick and then copy that onto another harddrive? Or it is like DR on PSP where a save file can be used only the machine it was originally created on?

    Seriously, Sega... WTF?!

Well, if it's the latter, I'm sure a hack can easily overcome that.

You can't make individual profile saves. They are all in the same system save file.

Replay files are separate, and you can save those and copy them onto other people's PS3's.

So they really learned nothing from PS2 Evo...

I get that they don't want to kill the arcade scene, but that's no reason to sabotage the home release this badly. I get there's no need for Sega Of Japan to concern theirselves so much with non-arcade version since the arcade is doing well enough, but Sega Of America needs to stop being so freakin' lazy and actually do some programming of their own. (Vanessa's lack of sportswear in NA Evo was the result of Sega Of America's laziness to put the outfit back in when they took the European version because they were too lazy to translate it theirselves)

And oh yeah, if everything is on one file, does that mean gold is shared between all chars ala Tekken 5/DR, or is it still just like Evo?
