attention VSHG users!!!

If your using your VSHG to play PS2 fighting games, I advise you not to fall to the same mistake I did. Which I updated my PS3 to ver 1.80. what you'll get out of the update is upscaling for the PS2 games. But at the same time your VSHG will stop work on PS2 games.

so unless you prefer you dont care for your VSHG and have a PS2 stick instead, then go a head and download the update.

update: tested it out. VSHG no longer works with VF4:Evo for me. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Afaik, you don't have to update the firmware. When you turn on the ps3 after an update becomes available a message will pop up in the top right corner saying an update is available, but it doesn't force you to update.

 

This really sucks. I really don't see why this feature would be removed...

Well, at least the upscaled graphics on PS2 games is great...

 

Can anyone that has upgraded confirm that it's only a problem for Evo? I would guess that it is across the board for all ps2 games (would seem odd if it were just Evo that's affected). If it's only Evo, I don't mind so much since I play 5 now but if someone that upgraded could confirm, I would appreciate it.
