Nah dog, every time 'Lewis backed up to the edge o' boy went for the running slide (not EVERY time). That being said (hindsight being 20/20) he could've just dodged the shit and put a foot up his ass if he didn't already put himself out of the ring first. I know I would've.

But yeah, folks'll abuse whatever works until it STOPS working. Some adjust and try something else. Others don't. Others just pull the plug and call themselves a legend the next day - Just ask Darthminion.

I guess I just categorically disagree with that statement. No point in even playing at all if you're just trying to be cheesy to get an online lag-win... No point in winning if it ain't got style...

I leave play to win to dirty-old David "Low Strong" Sirlin and play to PLAY for myself.

 

The worst part was that guy seemed to know how to play the game properly, sidestepping and such but he played like a complete ass.

You can say what you want, but people abusing shit = you learn to deal with it = you improve = this is how fighting gamers reach next level. Without core knowledge on how to beat abusers, all your playing and attempted flashiness will be empty.

 

I've lost count how many times I put a boot up Neverstop4EVR's behind. Dude probably won't try to play me again, but he loves his lows no matter how much I counter them -_-

yep what Jen said, anything else weakens your game. Online is shit anyways to be honest but core knowledge and application should hold you in good stead,
in the context of that vid the correct punishment wasn't dished out on whiffed moves, you fell into his easily avoidable tactics and most importantly let him annoy you, if it's that annoying learn how to deal with it or don't play.
Instead of threads like this, there should be threads asking how to deal with certain tactics , moves, discussion etc, that's what vfdc is for not to bitch abotu x,y and z, in my opinion...

SDE? Yeah, good luck with that one. Ultra Lewis got put into nitaku on obvious TFT attempt with no ETE.

EDIT: Ultra Lewis, you've got to be able to check your opponents basic common moves and your own, most importantly.

I don't want to sound like an ass, for not giving you support for the way he played his Kage. But the game's common situations were still present, wrapped up in that POS package.

 

The other day I finally experienced lag enough to make the infamous d+P -> doublepalm combo... I ate lowpunch, and I couldnt block doublepalm...wrap your mind around that lol.

 

Sorry I presumed Lewis could have blocked those 2p's, if he's eating noraml and counterhit 2p's ten times in a row and can't block them then I have no clue.

Manji is stating that the double-palm became guaranteed when he got hit by low-punch. That phenoma only happens online. He should have been able to block the double-palm.

Yes, you gotta learn to deal with BS, but I still don't see how it's that fun to play Kage that way... Ok, winning is pretty cool, but I get ZERO pleasure out of beating on some n00b 50 times in a row. The winning, in and of itself, isn't entertaining. The fun part is putting the win together.

But when it's too easy (or too stupid in the case Lewis' vid) to even bother with, winning doesn't mean much. If my only option was to play guys with a play-style like that Kage, I would have given VF5 up a long time ago.

VFDC helps me find good players and new strategies to keep the game feeling "new", and that's awesome. But watching 2p(x10) -> DMPK 5 times in a round hurts my eyes...

 

I would have lost to that Kage. He is sick.. His range game is excellent.

How do you figure I don't??? If I ever see you on I will always try to join your game. I'm always excited to play when I see you at the match-up screen and I know it's going to be a very tough match.

As frightening and scary as you are Slide(errr?), not sure how you got the impression I "don't ever want to play" you??? That's a gross over-statement of a pretty flimsy "fact". That's kinda silly...

HOWEVER, BAD GAMES to PL4YER7, you are a freaking joke!!! You join my player match game for one match, that alone shows you're garbage. Then you msg me before the first round starts and take off half my life WHILE I'M READING THE MSG YOU JUST SENT.

Your style is so amateur, you don't even use Brad's movement options at all, I can tell you don't even know how to use him and that you barely know how to play. You use 3-4 moves maximum and leave after one fight talking shit.

I never win by 5 points of dmg and try to say anything, especially when you leave after one fight because you KNOW you won't win again. You are one of those players that is so new to the game, you are unpredictable, even though you only use 3-4 moves period. It may take me one fight to see what you are doing then I will crush you from there on out; I think you knew this too.

Hope it was fun for you and you got to think you know how to play for a minute or two, till the next guy you played beat the shit out of you. I don't think we'll be playing too much in the future, playing people like you actually makes me worse at the game and reminds me of everything I DON'T like about VF5 online...
