Bandwidth limit for the internet service?

Hey folks,
I'm wondering is that normal for the cumstomers have the bandwidth limit in US? I just received a phone call from Comcast and the assistant said I'm an excessive user.... She said I'm not supposed to have over 250G per month for the bandwidth. But the thing is that no one mentioned this to me before I applied the service.....

Is that better if I upgrad to a business service? Basically I have 15M/5M now and I'm happy with it. But business serive only provides 16M/2M with no limit bandwidth. I'm curious is business service much more stable? Based on the numbers, I'm thinking I'm going to downgrad actually......

 

If you're not constantly uploading huge files, then the change you are thinking of sounds good to me.

 

dslreports.com (it covers any broadband connection) is a good site with waaaay too much info about what you're asking for, but hey, it's there and it's awesome!

 

I keep using utorrent and mostly for download. I'll get a static IP this time and see how it works for me.

 

Ahh - your upload will just be a little slower then. You'll still hit a good share ratio in no time.
