Hello, does anyone know of where I can find a complete list of Battle Area Combos(charactger specific)? I found a partial list on sara.net at http://xx.alpha-sv.com/vf4/vf4_pc but can't seem to find a complete list. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not sure what you mean by battle arena combos. If you mean combos that work in real matches, all you had to do was look a little before posting. The complete combo guide (which covers every character) is a sticky post at the top of this board (directly above your new post).

If you have any other needs, don't hesitate to try out the search function.

Sorry if I wasn't clear /versus/images/graemlins/blush.gif. I was referring to combos for the VF NET BATTLE ARENA. If you click the following link you can see what I mean(sorry I don't know how to display japanese characters) http://xx.alpha-sv.com/vf4/vf4_pc I did try to search but couldn't find any relevent threads or posts.

battle arena is kinda like a game u play on the PC...level up n stuff
    earn items

then u can use it on ur card.

That's how the boys at HK have been able to change items n colors with their card.

Of coz, it means they play the game at home..n hand their cards to someone who goes over to and update the card with items, ringname, team name, elbem and stuffy~

I dug around on that page, found the battle arena section, found the combos section.. .but couldn't read a single one of the combos.

I still don't know what "battle arena" combos means. Combos that aren't tech-rollable? Combos that work if the opponent doesn't tech roll? Combos that work only in Evolution (I saw jacky's combos were called vertical hook kick combos, so I assume these are all evo combos).

Are these maybe the combos that work on PS2 evo's special mode, where the recovery of moves is shorter?

On the VFNET there is a separate "mini-game" called Battle Arena. You choose on of the 15 characters and proceed to train him/her in the training mode, which are basically trivia questions. In addition you can fight up to 5 times in vs. mode (no action-text only) and enter the daily tournament. If you win a fight you get money that can be used to buy items for your "real" characters. And I'm not sure but I think the more you win the faster you move up in rank, which is how items exclusively from BATTLE ARENA are won. Anyway, in the training mode you gain new moves as you progress. You always have 5 moves and each time gain access to a new one you have to decide which of your 5 moves to throw away. In addition you are able to arrange the order your character will carry out those moves when fighting. Certain moves when put in the proper order with other moves combine to create a "combo" that is stronger/more-damaging then the moves are separately (1+1=3 type of thing). Does this make any sense at all? I feel like I'm trying to explain color to a blind person, with a frame of reference it basically comes out as blah blah blah. If that is the case I'm sorry for wasting your time and I do appreciate your responses. /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

No, you're not wasting your time. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Unfortunately, like myself, most people here on VFDC have never heard of this aspect of VF.net. Since we have no access to VF.net, we're not familiar with Battle Arena or any of the combos. Sorry. But thanks for explaining the system somewhat - I had no idea.

    cheers,

Selpai has the best site for BA - unfortunately, no combos there. I've never bothered to really play w/ them that much myself. I generally level up, get money, the items, and start over. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif
