Beating Dural with Wolf on the arcade?

What up VF freaks. I am a long time VF arcade player (ever since I first played VF1 in 1994 I was a fan) but new to this board. Let me prepend this post by saying I did a search for Dural strategies but came up with nothing.

I am having difficulty beating Dural on the arcade version. She is just plain nasty. She does these combos that seem to have a million punches in them that push me back, so in 2 and half flurries I am ringed out. It is tough to throw her in between combos cuz I don't know exactly when they'll end and the recovery time is very short. The same goes for counter attacks. If I can pull one off and subsequently get some distance from her, I can usually hurt her some more with [9][K], [6][6][P] and [K]+[G] variations, but in close I am generally totally screwed. Any ideas?

I had this same problem with my Wolf a while back. But I usually dominate the arcade mode now (except on hardest, Im wokin on that). But I see what your saying. Dural's moves, in my eyes, are variations of other character's moves. You should block what you can, and expect an extra punch or kick at the end, if you know who's combo she is using. Such as Akira's double kick move, Dural does a triple kick. Try to figure out what these moves are, and punish her with a counter. Block the three kicks, and she will still be in the air, and combo her as best you can, or do a move with as much damage you can get. Since she is basically the heaviest character in the game, you can get too many hits in a combo off her. So try to slam her down, and back off to regroup for a second volley of slams. Keep your distance, throw when you can and slam her ass to the ground and you should do fine. Or you can take advantage of the fact that she is a computer controlled character and use one of Wolf's two charge moves. She will block it, and if fully charged you will stagger her, do b+p to a KS/Giant Swing, or f+p to d,f+P+K+G and thats 80 damage at least.

    Hope this helps!

Yes that triple kick drives me nuts! It gets me every time cuz I immediately think Akira (only 2 kicks) when she does it and get lated by the 3rd one. I just gotta remember to block, and try to do [4][P]+[K] for the second or third kick.

I will definitely also try to stagger her with a charge and then go from there. I hadn't thought of using it on her, considering the computer always blocks it and I just figured Dural would combo my ass before I could recover, but if she recovers later, great.

Just remember that she has an extra move on most everything, or a variation of other moves (such as Jacky's lightning straight [3][P][P][P], Dural does a little spin instead of the backhand). If you have AIM (my AIM name is LtTitan1) or somethin, maybe I could go into further detail.
    Block and punish!
Look forward to talkin with ya!

    Finally tooled that sucka

Finally got her. I think one thing that was instrumental was opening with an attack instead of guarding. Even if she knocks me down with a major counter, I can still get good position when I get up. Also the charged shoulder was great! I definitely capitalized on the stagger. Thanks mano!
