Beginner Matches

Hi ! I am a new Goh player, only 5Dan on x box live ( but even when i lose i like to play Goh /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif ).

Since i need some advice, i record some x box live matchs (really poor quality... Nothing better for now /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif )

Against a Lau ( I hate Lau... More than Vanessa or Kage /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif ):

I play only a little with my Jacky and recently, my friend T0m (Seri0sCat) and me, begin to use respectively Akira and Goh.

Thx. The low throw was instinctive. I surprised myself on this, i was like "OMG IT WORKED !" because i never try it before from this distance.

Lol, the goh i use now is the one with the half-mask and black Hair.
I wanted a Blonde Goh for a flashy/surfer look ( Dont fit goh at all but i think it's pretty fun... Yeah i have strange tastes /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif )
But with the orange hair he looks like a Guido... Poor Goh. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
Maybe in front of the ridiculouseness of my Goh, my opponent will drop his controller and let me win./forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

 

Tonight i become 6th Dan.

I add some matches.

First, one against Jerky.

Then against a Goh 7th Dan.

We can see that my offensive is always the same. Pretty rough. Not very consistent. And i take damage when normally i must not, because i try to throw when i can't. ( I like Goh Throws so much /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif ) Ho and sometimes i miss my recover because i'm lazy... Plus i suck at throw escape. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

 

Hey m8 i remember playing u last night. I was practicing my Goh (I'm usually an Akira player) I beat ur wolf and then U picked your goh and beat me /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif GG's though m8.

Against some characters, when you hit with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif there is a slightly better combo, though the one you do is great. (i.e. the match with Lau)

after that move, try to DELAY /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, then when you continue with the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, you'll see the character got hit differently, so you're able to continue with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif

Yeah, the combo works on more chars than Shun, which I doscovered some time ago. Let me double check who it works on and edit this post /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Edit: Yeah, I remembered I posted this before, so here it is.
After delaying /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif it works not only on Shun, but on everyone except Lion, Pai, Vanessa and Sarah.

I would have thought you would have recorded one of the closer matches we had but its okay I don't hold a grudge I will just have to focus the combos I saw earlier in the other pai match you recorded. I can use them too I just wasn't sure how you would react to them.

I know i'm not good ... But trying to improve everyday.

 

The one time I see myself in a replay is 2 days after losing all my character data and 100% items /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

I think I play too much in player matches and not enough ranked and there is a difference playing under some kind of pressure, so I'll try to get more ranked experience for now!

 

Exactly. Played in ranked yesterday and I did some real shit. Went into a crappy defensive game and got crushed ...
U killed me stiff btw :x
