A series of planned Final Showdown Trailers! The first one is an interview with Makoto Osaki (AM2 Developer) and Daichi Katagiri (Director) about the origins of Virtua Fighter. Original story from the Sega Blog.

Color me somewhat surprised. Looks like their ramping things up a bit.

So nice to finally to see these sort of things. It was funny how that guy got overruled and had his unique character Siba replaced by a generic looking Akira behind his back [IMG]

I had a feeling this was the sort of marketing SEGA was going to do. They did a similar thing with the Yakuza games.

They release a few videos and let the community talk about the game and let other know about it. Its a cheap way to do do marketing and it works. At least for the people already aware of the games to some degree. They'll probably do some sort of website ads when its closer to release to let other people know who might buy the game on impulse or out of curiosity.

I just hope everyone can take a deep breath and realize that SEGA is finally giving us EXACTLY what we asked for, including the game being the latest arcade build...

It took them waaay too long, but they've absolutely done the right thing and redeemed VF as a relevant, internationally-known game series for a good time to come.

Japan won't be able to see what hit them this time.

      Bring it on!

That scrapped tug of war mechanic sounds exactly like Tobal.

I'm glad they are doing something to promote the game. In fact I think this is the first real interview they've had with the VF guys since that VF5 1Up article. Good watch!

That video was great! It is so nice to hear some behind the scenes info about VF from them. I hope that we can see more of the interview with those two soon.
