I am pissed off at how bad the 360 controller is and I would like to know what the best pad would be for the 360 for a person that wants to use the d pad over the stick. I play best with the d pad and would like to know if there are controllers that have the feeling of the PS3 controller or something close to it. As far as I am concerned the PS3 has the best d pad for VF5 period, and if I can find controller similar to it that would be nice. I really appreciate the help, I have seen many of these controllers and I don't know which one I should get.

I can't give advice on specific 3rd party controllers... but you have tried the d-pad "mod" yet?

Basically, the plastic ring around the 360 d-pad is too tight, so when you press a direction, the d-pad hits against the ring, and sort of gets pushed off center, which totally screws up your directional inputs unless you're super, super precise. That said, you can take your controller apart, and sand down that ring, and supposedly it fixes all the problems, and makes the d-pad just as good as most other consoles.

There's instructions for how to do it floating around somewhere, but I don't know where, just got a stick instead of ever trying it myself, so I can't say first-hand how well it works.

I get the Hori pad 360 and it is the best I could find for now.
I just hope you don't use too many shorcuts, because the shoulders buttons LT and RT suck, you need to push them very hard to register your inputs... so I just stop using them.
Forget the madcatz microcon, it sucks a lot!
I just get my xfps 360 sniper 3.0, after I get reused with my ps2 pad lol, I will write what I think about it.

I do pretty well with the analog. I've definitely gotten used to it.

I don't have an issue doing the move and I have adjusted as best I can to the controller but the lack of precision forces me to limit my usage of my favorite moves because of the inaccuracy of the controller and I don't attack as fast knowing my moves won't come out as quickly as I want. I can use the analog stick as well that would limit me even more.

i agree with you on so many levels. the only controller i know of that seems to work well for vf5 is the one ebgames offer for 24 bucks.

the only thing i hate about is that, it kinda feels wired the first time you have in your hands but other then that it plays really well.

I tried the Madcatz controllers, but I found them uncomfortable. I just don't like holding the d-pad on that strange angle.
