Best players to look for.

BK, Dat's good yeah, but have you played online recently? He'll certainly be up there but I wouldn't say he'd be the best Akira online.

i copied, pasted, and made a list of playres from the beginning. Because I don't know most of them, I listed up ALL of them. you guys can copied this one and add or remove some players.

Oh by the way, I listed characters randomly. Therefore,Lau came after Akira and Jacky is very bottom. I would like you to arrange this list.

well,I guess Black Bauer is Denaki, so I left his name in Jacky and I removed his name from the other characters.

 

Please help me understand what's the point of this thread - i was under the impression that, ultimately, rank would be a testament of each player's ability, isn't that correct?

 

Nah. There are some people on who got their ranks in less than-savory ways, and lower ranking players who are people who played before but just recently started accounts.

 

I guess they want to discuss who is the player online. each person has different opinions, so I don't know.
they just want to list up good online US players.

however, I think this thread could be in a different place though. I mean, most of us are talking about US players because they can not compare UK players because of lug. It does not have to be online thread, or it should be US players(not players).

I am certainly sure rank does not matter.

Judging by my one match wit Konjou last night, his akira is still better than mine

 

I didn't start this thread so readers can see the ranks for the high players. More for those playing online and if you wanted to challenge the best Akira players or ask for training from the best Goh players you would know who to go to. Rank is a nice but not all together accrurate measure of player abilities and rank doesn't relay what character is the player's main.

I also figured it would be good to recoginze players from their names and not just their rank. Rodnutz's rank is very different from Konjou's rank but obviously both the same player. Conversely JunoSynth plays Lei Fei but his brother play's Lion under the same screen name and both players are certainly worth mentioning as top players for their respective characters. In both cases of Rodney and Juno/TX, their ranks are not acrruately indicative of their abilities.

And finally, high rank doesn't automatically translate into high level of play. There are still those who got there by trolling, cable pulling, or general abusing of tactics for sake of ranking up. If I am playing JHow77, I know I am playing a good fighter and not jsut because of his rank. This thread helps tell players who the top players are and their characters, not just who has the highest ranks.

 

Thanks for doing this, I was going to this weekend but you took care of it for me. Thanks and thanks to those contributing. Now more than ever I want to get some fights in with Geewaiho and I am still wondering if there is a dominant Brad out there anywhere?

mabye my statement was too strong, but in my oppinion it think he probably will be, dat went up and down during Ezone coz he didnt have a stick, but there was a time just before that when i honestly could hardly see through the guy~ not just because of yomi or reflexes. mainly because his traps were so fast and tight i was quite literally guessing between 2 choices half the time, and he had like.. throw-escape-diahrrea..~ there's something about his game that feels overwhelmingly rock solid o____o)*........

im in chongqing, unfortunatley only thing they have near me is a broken VF3 cab~ punch and evade dont work, i had to do some mad kick skillz, .. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

i think beijing or shanghai would have VF5 in designated areas, ~ until then it's just metal slug 5 and koF 99 fer me

OMG look out for a japanese player by name of Yaby 18 (at least I think it was 18). I have never seen an El Blaze move like that and I realize I am not VF elite but I can usually take a few good hits in or even a round against top players. Seriously there was no hitting this guy to get on the offensive and he did strats with Blaze that I have never seen with any character. Definitely good stuff and by all means, keep an eye out for him!
