I keep hopin Sega's got some super secret knock out blow and just when we count them out they're gonna announce the greatest VF launch in VF history. But I'm starting to feel like charlie brown waiting for the great fucking pumpkin

Tekken6 is gonna sell Boo Coo copies. The new online modes is gonna keep players occupied for years. It will be hard for Sega to steal those players from Namco

Damn son, Namco is even given out Tekken6 Calendars, and the customization is sick. Sure the old school cats that already know what's up with Virtua Fighter will stick and stay, but
all those noobs who will be seeing a fighting game for the first time will be using Tekken as the standard for 3d fighting games.

I hope the arcades in Japan are worth it. Sega is

if everyone here really wants sega to release VFR5 here in the states,then let it be known to everyone i mean everyone!!!!!! Write to gaming websites like IGN,1UP.COM,GameStop etc etc,put the word out on Facebook & Myspace shit write even to Capcom they seem to care about fighting games here in the states......just put the word out make youtube videos about it,tell your friends on XBox-Live & PSN about it god knows i have, my point is that if games like Tenchu Z & Way of samurai 3 can get released here then anything is possible

After seein tha success of of T6, SSFIV, and that new BB Sega will have to do somethin.

But if we really want VF5R there's always the Make A Wish Foundation... but somebody's kid's gotta die.

Best way to make Sega make another VF for the consoles - ever: wait for hell to freeze over It just doesn't make financial sense. SF and Tekken are mainstream, so those franchises make money. VF is played outside arcades by an inuit, two Europeans and five Americans. It's all about money, always has been always will be. Nothing else matters. But don't be sad, there's always Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics 2.

 

Two editors at IGN turned down writing an article about VF5R last year when I called them. No one at Gamespot did anything either when I contacted a few writers there. Sega of Europe and America said that Sega of Japan wouldn't let them port the game because it was Sega of Japan's product to control. Sega of Japan said that the game wasn't getting ported within 'the next few years'. I contacted two VERY high up people at Sega of America last year...neither of them had even heard of VF5R. That's right, executives at Sega of America, had no idea what VF5R was (neither of them knew of WCG either). Pathetic.

I even offered to write the article for IGN and they said no. They don't care. This game is never coming. Sega of Japan officially passed on porting it. The media knows that the game is never coming and they have other games to cover.

VF5R might NEVER make it to consoles just like 4FT. Fuck Sega and AM2. I'll still play VF4/EVO/5 casually for years down the road. But every time I watch a 4FT or 5R match it turns me off to everything VF.

Sega of America deletes comments on its Facebook page if you post about VF5R. What does that tell you about the chances of this game coming?

and Pick system (PS3)

and up pops the XBOX 360 version of VF and that suck face site. Which makes my point. Sega don't give a fugg

Another thing that might help is if arcades become less popular in Japan so there is more money to be made on console versions. If the Japanese get sick of playing in smoke filled arcades and start playing more at home, maybe the game companies will decide that console is a better target to make money.

Maybe we will get VF6 if they make it as they will see it as a big enough revision it is worth giving it to us.

but seriously, I gave up on R, but we should keep asking for it. We should not give up, keep petitioning sega.

at least this is my opinion, we cant just sit and wait, we should keep pestering them.

 

Maybe Sega doesn't put the effort into their VF website because they are aware of all the work that goes
into VFDC and that VFDC keeps detailed info on the game.

But it still wouldn't hurt to run a commercial here and there
to compete with Tekken. Even if they are advertising VF5. There is still a bazillion people out there that don't know what VF is, and since this is the year of the fighting game,
Sega has nothing to loose by advertising VF5. The game is made, the ports are done, all that's left is attracting new fans, and the more fans Sega attracts for the current VF 5, the more justification there is for VF5R or VF6

I want 5R, but I realize VF 5 is a master piece, and will probably still have better graphics the Tekken 6. And will definitely have better fight mechanics and balance.

Its just a shame Sega is wasting such a good marketing opportunity.

Sega better do somethin if they want Virtua Fighter to stay alive. I already reserved a copy of Tekken 6 and the new BlazBlue and SSFIV are right around the corner. From what I heard they lost their arcade presence to T6 anyway. They announced VF5R Ver. C like a month ago and nobody gave a shit.
