I'm a huge Master Po fan myself. As I've said before, VFDC only has one wise monk and we better hang onto him.

Not in my book. Even on PS3 without online play, after Tekken 6 comes out, VF5 is STILL going to be THE BEST! That's it.

Also, the topic says: Best way to make Sega release vf5r.... well the best way would be to actually do it. And since that's not happening, there's no best or worst way... there's just no way. We must have all realised by now, that even if Sega releases VF5R on consoles it will have nothing to do with what we did or did not do....
I guess my optimism fails me at times like these [IMG]

At the expense of repeating something that may have been said, I will state that I have not read all 8 pages of this thread.*

We all know that Sega is a business first and foremost. To make that release the game outside of Japan we have to make it worth it for them. I'm choosing my words very deliberately here:

We have to make it worth it to make that business decision.

I'm speaking in generalities because I don't know business, but what I do understand is business mentality. They need to see that releasing their product here would be economically beneficial enoughto do so.

We're here at Virtuafighter.com No one loves this game more than us in the Western world, no one! Anyone who really LOVES this game has at least heard, or seen this place. It's up to us the people who see the beauty in the game to bring that out. Unfortunately that such a lofty goal that it's nigh impossible. I mean...

If I could I would take the whole scene on my back and take that shit STATE TO FUCKING STATE. I mean personally going around showing it to everyone who will listen, and even those that don't. We see the magnificence of this game, and so do many other gamers who don't even play it. We would need to show it to them, explain it to them, provide them with the means and community to grow and keep them VF minded. From what I understand there have been people to do this for other games, and many have done something similar for this game.

...unfortunately we're fighting against indifference from the frickin creator the game. So in addition to building up a salivating wanting base market for the game, we have to communicate that to Sega. Come on now, how many of us here..if we were say billionaires, would take our hard-earned dollars and personally invest in VF's success here in the States(the only place I can really speak from) and by extension the rest of the world where people of all walks of life share this love! I know I would.

I would do it without a hint of hesitation. In my heart I want to create a company to publish, market, distribute, and support the game. I would even provide Sega with a large majority of the profits made. That is just how much love I have for this game in my heart. Unfortunately my resources don't match that.

Now having said that I know they're are SEVERAL people HERE probably reading this now that love this game many, many, many more times that I. If you all want this game...I MEAN REALLLLLY want this game. It's obviously gonna take more than we've done...I mean probably more than many of us have done for anything ever. This is a MASSIVE undertaking.

Having said all that...show of hands(e-hands) how many people are ready to put in that kind of work, effort, drive, etc. to make that happen?

To keep/having a lot of people playing VF5 might be a good way [IMG]

Just wait people will get bored of tekken then go right back to vf. It happened with blazblue and it happened with street fighter.

Ya I think they are actually about to release Version C over there. I still think their on Version B if I recall correctly.

Version C looks to be a minor change, meaning no balance changes, just items and other functions. Rumor is that AM2 is not working on a Final Tuned type update for VF5R yet. Maybe they'll wait another few months to start a major revision. Either way no one outside of Japan will ever play it.

Best way to make Sega release vf5r: There is no best way, in fact there is no way period. Yeah people sent emails and stuff but look what that led to, nothing.

A better question would be, best way to wait for sega to release vf5r, the answer is simple, wait by playing Tekken, hell for those streetfighter fans soon you can play SSFIV while you wait for vf5r because it still won't be out.

    This. A thousand times this.
Little to nothing we do will matter, as sega doesn't pay much attention to what is going on outside of Japan.
While it's true sega are a business, i think we must accept that they're not the same business they was 10 years ago. I dont think the current sega is very good at what they do either.
I've not seen VF5 advertised, anywhere. Ever. It's not enough for us to want it to do well, if they won't put the work in we can't deny them the crap results.
People have already done more than i would ever expect from someone not on the payroll. Sega have to want it as well. At the moment, they don't.

I hadn't seen any advertising for VF untill the xbox bundle in which it was included. Gotta spend money to make money...
