    So I got bored over the weekend and started browsing the net as ususal. I went to gametrailers.com and found a video of akatsuki blitzkampf which is a doujin fighting game for the PC. I played the demo and liked it. Later I got the full game. Along with the full game however was a demo of Big Bang Beat. Needless to say I played it more than AB. The game itself plays like Guilty Gear and SF: Alpha 3. It has a nice fighting system too. has the usual power bar for super moves, has a charging up system similar to KOF 98 and when you do certain combo's, your opponant drops gems which you can pick up and use as dashing. Dashing system is crucial for killer combo's. There is also a counter system, when you are getting hit, hold back and press dash button. Obviously it'll use up power.

    I decided to make a small combo video (my first one too). These are combo's I whipped up in about 30 minutes of playing the game. I came up with better ones after editing.

    video here:

    Another vid from another source showing the rest of the characters and better combo's:
    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QJ2F4DuHS3s"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QJ2F4DuHS3s" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

    Here is the link to get the game, it's in japanese and you can boot up the game without installing it. It recognises pads too so be sure to use it /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif enjoy.

    PS: If the youtube video is too crappy, let me know and I'll upload the full quality version on my website.

    Hey nice find, but can you explain the combo system? It really looks like a great game.

    I added another video but not from myself. The combo system is straight forward, very Marvel Vs capcom like but with timing issues.

    The controls for this game are as follows:
    A = Light attack
    B = Medium attack
    C = Hard attack

    Then there are 3 other buttons:
    B-action = super dash (crucial combo linker)
    P-charge = power up the super bar (like KOF 98 style)
    Enhance = not sure what this does fully yet but it's like a taunt but other things go off at the same time

    This would be an example of a combo in the game. This is the first combo I do in my video with the guy:

    light > medium > hard > qcb+light > qcb+med > qcb+ hard > charge > light > medium > hard > dragonpunch+hard

    Counter system was explained above but here it is again. It's whilst blocking you press the dash button. I wish there was a parry system like 3rd strike, that would made this game my fave 2D fighter instantly.

    Anything else, I'll provide you with info as best I can.
