Bionic Commando!

Anybody else pick this up yet?
Played a few hours of it, and my this is definately a wicked game. A well executed modern take on a classic game. The arm swinging mechanic works perfectly, and is sooo addictive.

Honestly if they ever stop making failass spiderman games and pay attention, they could learn from how well the swinging/grappling mechanic is implemented in this game. The graphics deserve a nod as well... amazingly detailed cityscapes and underground caverns that make this game a pleasure to explore.

There is challenges throughout the game outlining various objectives you can complete for optional rewards (ammunition upgrades etc) and tons of memorable and exciting boss fights.

There are those out there that will hate it, but folks looking for a fun action game will not be dissapointed.

 

I remember playing it at Comic-Con last July and thought it was fun. Got it a fortnight ago. I really enjoy the swinging mechanics as well and the fact that you can grab almost anything. The only bad thing about it is the lack of New Game Plus or anything like that. Having to wait until you're halfway through the game for the Adrenaline meter or the Kite/Throw ability each time gets irritating.

Also, Snipers are a bitch on Commando. If you think they're bad on Normal or Hard, you haven't seen anything yet.

I'm not sure if I like it more or less than Prototype though.

 

the product placement in this game was a suprise, never noticed capcom doing much of this but I could be wrong. pepsi,nividia and alienware ads are plentiful.

 

They balance it out with plenty of Tricell ads as well.

 

true.... gave the multiplayer a try. Its actually pretty fun, A little chaotic but still pretty interesting.
